Thanks, I'm doing my best to inform people about all of Tezuka's great works. Btw, I'm working at filling in info for the TiE Astro Boy pages and instead of recreating the wheel, I'd like to use the great chapter synopsis from the AB-online wiki ( http://www.astroboy-online.com/wiki/darkhorse ). Is ...

I closed the forum when we moved TiE to the new server and updated the format. Basically no one was really using it and most people that frequent astroboy-online only really went there if there was some issue here and vanished again as soon as it was fixed. So I just didn't bother trying to move it ...

I have to admit any of the Tezuka live-action blended with animation (and I include puppets in that category) is fascinating. Makes me wonder what Tezuka would've done with computer animation - can you imagine a live-action Phoenix movie with a CG Phoenix? I bet Tezuka would've tried all sorts of wa...

I'm pretty sure the answer to the original question of whether or not the 1960's Astro Boy series aired in Canada is yes... On NBC. I'm not old enough to remember the 1960's, but I remember the 1970's (vaguely). If the question is if it was licensed and broadcast on a Canadian broadcaster, I think t...

Dororo showed up in my mailbox today... and it rocks. I wasn't so sure about the cover design at first, but now that I see it up close and personal... I love it. The cover stock paper really makes it seem like it's a really old style book (a medical textbook maybe?). It's not the usual glossy slick ...

You stated that Dororo was uncompleted; I would not know about this. The Tezuka World page for Dororo 'subtitles' lists 15 chapters or episodes. http://en.tezuka.co.jp/manga/sakuhin/subtitle/m060.html Are all these to be included in the 3 volumes? I think I can answer that... Dororo is finished... ...

Need the first 2 volumes of Astro Manga?
Dark Horse is repackaging the first two volumes of their Astro Boy manga series. I've heard rumours that the "hard to get" first couple of Astro Boy volumes would be reprinted, but I'm interested to see if this will be a new set or just a one off thing. From Chapters.ca... Astro Boy Volumes 1 & 2 Au...

I wouldn't worry if I were you Jeffbert. I just got my copy of the book yesterday and I took a look at the tables you're talking about. Despite the fact that your work is documented well before the book was published, these are hardly based on highly classified material. Not to belittle your work, b...
