In the US teachers will often scale the exam results on a low scoring test so that the highest class score is graded as an A, and then recalibrate the rest of the scale on some sort of curve as seen graphically. Hence the term curve. Needless to say if a single student manages to get a much higher score than the rest of the class, he/she spoils the curve for everyone else!

Hi Yuuki - by "grading curve" he means the grades are adjusted. Instead of, for example, 0 - 100 the instructor will use 0-50.

On the 0-50 scale, you did pretty good.

Oooh, I see XD

But that stupid teacher still yelled at the whole class (including me) anyway. Taiwanese teachers suck. If I end up stuck in Taiwan and I become a teacher, I swear to my head that I shall be Reasonable and Kind.

Atomu: Why do you say ''I swear to my head''? Onee-san?
Yuuki: None of your bizz. Go to your room.
Atomu:.......
Yuuki: Hey! Don't cry! I like you, OK? Oh, really, I'm not angry at YOU, I'm angry at my lousy teachers...

I joined this forum in late 2013 when I was 15 going on 16. Ignore my oldest posts, they embarrass me so much that I've considered permanantly leaving the forum more than once. I've grown out of my fangirling phase over Black Jack, Atom and Uran ages ago but the memories still embarrass me at times... Though, I try to be more open-minded about it and accept it as an "interesting stage of my life". :tezuka:

But I hope have Manga Artist as my career, even if I DO end up stuck in Taiwan. Who wants to be a teacher in Taiwan and get stuck WRITING those yucky test papers?
