FanFic: A Whole New Robot

Hello this story is about Tenma and Dr. Ochanomizu creating a new type of robot that is even closer to a human. enjoy!

"This is madness Tenma!" Dr. Ochanomizu Yelled. "You can`t create a robot like that it`s not just impossible, it`s pushing the limit on robot freedoms!" Tenma looked down at his coffee and moved his index finger up and down the cup as he let out a small chuckle. "Ochanomizu, everyone said the same exact thing to me when i was inventing To- Astro." Dr. Ochanomizu looked at him and calmy sat back down. "Dr. I don`t want to create this robot alone. I want your help, we are good friends Ochanomizu." Tenma said looking him in the eye.

"Doctor..." A tired voice said coming into the dining room. "Why are you and Dr. Tenma up so late.."

"Oh, Astro. I`m sorry if we woke you up, we`re just talking business about a new robot model. You see Dr. Tenma just got a new job at the ministry."

"Oh wow that`s great!" Astro happily said and gave a warm smile to Tenma.
"Can we finish this conversation tomorrow Tenma? You know at work." Ochanomizu stated.
"Of course." Tenma quietly said smiling at Astro then heading out the door.

Laying back down in bed Astro looked up at Dr. Ochanomizu. "Doctor, what`s the new robot you and Tenma are creating?" Astro asked curiously.

"Well.. I`ll tell you later. It`s a surprise." Ochanomizu answered pulling the blanket over Astro.

"Goodnight Doctor."

"Goodnight Astro."

"A whole new robot?" Astro said confused as he looked at Dr. Ochanomizu. "Yes Astro, a robot that's even closer to being human, meaning she can eat and breathe in air and so on and so forth."
"So a newer model." Astro plainly said. "Exactly but Tenma an I will need to use your programming or your design."
"Why?" Astro asked. "Well because we are taking your design and making it more advanced. We already got the ok from the governmnet so this may be our only chance. You'll help won't you Astro?"
"Well I don't know if I want another robot more advanced than me doctor. Who's idea was this?" Astro said nervously.
"Astro! Are you jealous? We won't be replacing you. You're unique in your own way."
"Ok doctor but who's idea was it.." Astro repeated again more anxious.
"Well..." Dr. Ochnomizu hesitated.
"Doctor!" Astro yelled.
Dr. Ochanomizu sighed, "It was Tenmas idea Astro."
"I knew it." Astro said gritting his teeth. He looked at Dr. Ochanomizu and let out a heavy sigh. "Oh fine, but only for you doctor." Dr. Ochanomizu smiled and gave Astro a hug.
"Come on then, let's head down to the ministry and get started."

Astro was extremely nervous as Tenma connected him with wires that connected to a computer.
"Don`t you have all of my data Dr. Tenma? You did create me you know, so why do you need me as a reference?" Astro asked. Tenma just looked at him and smiled and continued working. Astro was a little annoyed at the fact that Tenma didn`t give him an answer but Astro could pretty much figure out why they needed him.
After several hours of testing and a few upgrades Astro was glad to go home. He did enjoy helping out at the ministry just not for hours on end. He decided to fly the long way home.
Astro loved flying, it was a way to relieve stress. Just like how humans draw, play music, or even work to relieve stress. He flew around up to the clouds twisting and twirling in the air. He loved the feeling of the cool breeze on his face. He closed his eyes and began to fall to the ground and right before he hit it coolly flew back upward at lightning sped, he began to smile and laugh. He loved flying. He hadn`t realized it but it became dark, he had left the ministry at 5:00 pm and it was 9:00, he had been flying for four hours! Astro quickly realized what had happened and flew home as fast as he could, but he felt weak.
"No, not at a time like this." He told himself as he looked at his energy gauge. He was almost out. He tried to fly faster but it was to late and he plumbeted to the ground.

"Astro! Astro! Wake up! Astro!" He faintly heard a soothing voice calling out to him to wake up. He wanted to, he really really wanted to wake up but he couldn't. He didnt know where he was, but it was quiet now, no one was calling to him anymore. He was.. alone. He began to walk around hearing his footsteps falling quietly behind him. He just wandered and wandered for hours it seemed like. Astro looked up and saw something, something he had missed before. A light! He had been wandering around and never bothered to look up til now. But there it was so he flew up higher and higher, faster and faster as the light was becoming smaller.
He could feel the breeze hard and sharp on his face as picked up speed, almost there so close this was his only escape. He flew for hours, the light was still there. Astro became frustrated, he was going in loops! where was he? Annoyed he yelled out as loud as he could and flew back down to the ground. right when his feet touched the hard floor something happened. He looked down to see circuits in the ground lighting up faintly. Astro tilted his head in confusion and flew up but only enough to hover above the ground. the light was gone. He touched the ground and it began to light up. A path! Astro quickly stood on the ground and began to chase the path, the faster he ran the brighter the light was. he ran faster and faster until he finally found a room that was all white.
He looked around and knew exactly where he was now, he wasn`t awake he was still asleep. He was in his own electronic brain. A harsh chill ran down his metal spine and traveled through his body. He had been inside of Zorons brain before but this, well this was different, more powerful. he looked around and saw it, saw what Dr. Ochanomizu and Dr. Tenma needed that they couldn`t find. He saw what made him human.

Astro began to shiver, he was not comfortable with knowing how he worked, but he was a little curious. he walked along the white room and went towards the the wall. He could see it all, all of his pain from being rejected by his father and the happiness of forgiveness. After all he and Tenma were on good terms now after the event that took place inside laboratory 7. He now understood his fathers greif and pain and Astro realized all Tenma ever wanted was to be.. well.. forgiven.
Astro sighed and let the soft tear fall to the floor. He could cry... like a human.. but why? Was it because Toby made him human? Or was it all really programming? Astro started to become disturbed by the thought of all his emotions being programmed. He quickly shook his head and repeatedly said no. He didn`t want to be here anymore he wanted to wake up. He began to yell, try to wake himself up. after a few minutes of yelling he finally saw it. the darkness of the place he was in, his heart, there was a blue light and the circuits were starting to light up!
He opened his eyes to see a worried Tenma and a relieved Dr. Ochanomizu. Astro sighed with relief and sat up. "Dr." Astro uncomfortably said. "I need to tell you something."
