In my Alvin and the chipmunks crossover on ff.net I imagined him having been a drummer in a rock band in his youth.

I'm so, so glad you're liking these!
AprilSeven - I read the part of Pluto where Ochanomizu tries to repair the robot puppy, and I was about sobbing! I just... he did everything he could... and the puppy tried so hard to... I need a moment.
Also, I saw that thread of Ochanomizu as a hippie, and it was glorious! Maybe I'll try drawing him as a hippie once I figure out how to draw him normally.
TetsuwanPenguin - I had to go look up that fanfiction, and now I can totally see him playing drums. That might also become a drawing at some point.
The last few days have been crazy, so I haven't had much drawing time, but here's my latest:

Sweater vests make everything better. Seriously, when dressing down includes a tie, you know you're classy.

I really like your drawings. Very good pencil technique. I'm glad you checked out my story, I hope you liked it. Maybe you could try to draw the whole family as a band with Ochanomizu on drums, Uran on keyboard, and Cobalt and Astro on guitar? There is a drawing somewhere on the web with an airborne Astro playing guitar, which is what I imagined in that Chipmunk xover.
(I just had a vision of adding an older Chi-tan on Sax!)

Hoohoohoo, sweater vests DO in fact make everything better. It's what I like to imagine Cobalt wearing most of the time, along with a bowtie, because he seems to be a bowtie kind of guy. Also sweater vest+ bowtie= huge nerd material, which he is. But an adorable one.
Anyway, your art IS pretty cute- keep up the good work! And that "realistic" approach to the good doctor reminds me of something, a scan of another Astroboy-related work by Akira Himekawa, although mostly involving the Blue Knight. There is no English translation available, though; it WAS translated into French, but, that's neither here nor there, for the most part. ANYWHO, a lot of the character designs were changed, sometimes quite drastically (if I recall, Astro has "real" hair, that turns white sometimes for some reason- I don't really know, and I'm not gonna bother with the guy that the photos came from for personal reasons). I think Ochan might have looked something like that...
I wish someone could get a hold of the book(s?), and give us proper scans of it. Maybe even a decent translation (it'd probably be too much to ask for an officially licensed product, considering how unpopular Atom is right now, and the fact that it was released in 2011- to the best of my knowledge; it could even be older).
Sorry, I ramble. A lot. I'm sorry if that puts you off.

I kind of wondered what Zoran's first moments were like when she woke up. Do robots go through milestones like human children (e.g. first steps, first words...)?
This led me to imagine the doctor excitedly anticipating Zoran's first words and being very disappointed.

After all, it's always about the nose. The man cannot get a break, I tell ya.

And then she proceeds to try and rip it off. The poor man has had to suffer so much because of his overlarge sniffer through all these years... #SaveOchan'sOversizedShnozzle2k15
(Atom actually kind of did the same thing when he first saw it in the '03 version, but he wasn't as vicious about it; he just wanted to look at it.)

Tezuka made plenty of nose jokes, such as in the '63 wacky machine episode where prof I q plenty used it as a cigarette lighter.
