I think those are just regular subdomains. Like in http://turtlekibi.ibbun.net/ "turtlekibi" is a subdomain. "www" is also a subdomain that is actually completely optional, even though most sites use it anyway.

The owners of the hosting service might have different servers, and gave them names such as www5a, www5b, and so on to differentiate them.
