Can you draw Astro
I started drawing faces from magazines as sources, But fingers when spread apart are very tough. I can draw Atom quickly & you will recognize him, but making a better drawing requires tons more work. Something about the law of diminishing returns or some such thing. Basically, for every bit of noticable improvement, there is an exponentially increasing amount of work (time) required.

Here's the less-angry Astroboy:

When I was little I always assumed Kenneth and Mindy were "together". Now I think Mindy and Astro make a nice couple!
I think this is my favourite so far. I'd like to draw one of Atlas proposing to Livian, but Livian has curvey bits I, um, can't do artistic justice to.

I had a go at following Strange Wings' instructions for drawing Astro's eyes first. It works fantastically! B) I know these aren't the greatest drawings of Astro, but I did almost no erasing and they came out better than my other perspective drawings.
Thanks Strange Wings!

This is my copy of one of the production sketches shown on the Madman extras DVD. I had to keep erasing his hands because the arms were wrong. It was painful! I felt like I got them perfect the first time. Still, it makes good practice. I also had to redraw his head after making it too skinny to begin with.
I didn't colour this one because I wanted to leave my pencil lines showing the guide rules and his toes (in my sketchbook). The pencil don't show up after a contrast adjustment.
The anime production sketch:

I suppose this one was drawn by Tezuka.

Okay, finally I've drawn Astro.
But only his head.
This is the best I can do on the artboards:
http://www.classicgaming.com/kirby/artboard3.htm
Press "Load", then find and click the file that says, "Astro's Head" then click ok.
Hope you'll like it.
