Here it is, the next post of Peach Blossom!:

Momo, the girl, looked down at her bare feet. Uran noticed that the girl had a stitch scar on her right arm.
“Where art thou off to?” Momo asked softly, looking deep into Uran’s eyes.
Uran looked at the girl in surprise. She talks weird, Uran thought. Uran stared at the girl.
Momo’s eyes seemed so honest and kind, and Uran couldn’t decide if she should trust the girl or not.
“Thee is uncertain about me?” Momo asked softly.
Uran shifted her weight around nervously. “I don’t mean to be rude…”
Momo smiled slightly, looking down at her feet again. “I do not blame thee.”
“I’m going to Metropolis.” Uran blurted before she could stop herself.
Momo looked up at Uran in surprise. “Off to Metropolis by thyself? Alone?”
Uran just nodded. Her throat had gone dry.
“Where are you going?” Uran asked after a few minutes of silence.
“I am also off to Metropolis. I live there.” Momo replied.
Momo’s short, dark blue hair shone in the lights in the train. Momo’s hair was very short, just below her ears, with two long strands at the sides of her face.
Uran’s face softened when it finally dawned on her. Momo was disabled.
Momo held a small crutch close to her side, staring into space.
Uran wondered why Momo was disabled, and what kind of sickness she had. Momo also had some scars; one across her right eye, and one on her left arm.
I wonder why she has to walk with a crutch? Uran thought. She stared at Momo’s legs and noticed that they were a bit bent inwards.
Momo glanced at Uran with her eyes, and Uran blushed. Uran looked out the window and watched as the trees seemed to fly by.
For a whole hour, the train was silent.
Finally, Momo broke the silence.
“Why is thee traveling by thyself?” Momo asked silently. She looked deep into Uran’s eyes.
“Uh, vacation.” Uran lied.
Momo didn’t look convinced. “May I travel with thee?”
Uran didn’t know why, but she felt that she should trust this disabled girl. “Ok.” Uran replied. “Maybe when we are not in such a crowded place, we can talk more.”
Momo smiled, her eyes closed. “I thank thee for such kindness.”
Uran’s face flushed, and smiled to herself.
Suddenly, Uran’s phone started ringing out Mr. Roboto. Uran barely stifled a scream. She had forgotten to change it back to normal.
Uran opened up her small cell phone and checked the phone number. It was Cobalt.
Uran looked at Momo timidly. “Hold on one moment.” she mumbled.
Momo smiled and slowly stood up. “I will be back in a few minutes. Would thee like anything to eat?”
“Milk and a bowl of ramen.” Uran replied.
Momo walked slowly away, with the other passengers staring at her, some in sympathy.
The phone was already on the fourth ring, and some people were starting to stare at Uran. Uran slowly put her cell phone up to her ear.
“Hello?” she said calmly into the phone, suddenly feeling bold.
“Uran? Thank goodness!” Cobalt cried out on the other end of the phone. “Where are you? Uran, everyone is worried about you!”
“Good-bye, Cobalt!” Uran yelled into the phone.
“Uran-”
Uran turned off her phone.
Uran suddenly looked up and saw Momo standing next to the seats, holding onto a small tray with their food. Momo looked into Uran’s eyes, as if she could read her thoughts if she concentrated hard enough.
Uran was really mad. She didn’t even want to talk to Momo. “Go away.” she muttered, staring out the window, a frown on her face. The trees just flew by.
Momo looked slightly hurt. But only for a slight second.
“I shall leave thy food here, then.” Momo replied softly, in a kind tone. “Then I shall leave thee to thy thoughts.”
True to her word, Momo placed the small tray on the seat next to Uran, picking up her own food, which was a very small bowl of ramen.
Momo walked slowly away, looking for another place to sit. Momo finally found a place, near Uran’s seat.
For a few minutes, Uran didn’t even glance at her food. But then, hunger over came her. Uran picked up the tray and began to eat her food.
By then, It was already 2:00 o’clock.
Momo slowly ate her food, trying to make it last.
When Uran had finished her meal, she started to feel guilty. I should have been nicer to Momo, Uran thought, I have to apologize to her.
Uran tried to think up a way to approach Momo. After a while, she gave up and just took out a pen and wrote a small note on a napkin to Momo.
“Now, how to get it to her?” Uran murmured under her breath.
Uran slowly folded the napkin into a small paper airplane. Uran threw it towards Momo.
It landed right on her lap.
Uran faced the window, but her eyes saw the look on Momo’s face.
Momo smiled slightly and put the small note into her shorts pocket.
Uran turned around and gestured for Momo to sit next to her.
Momo smiled more, and walked over to Uran, holding her small bowl. When Momo was next to Uran, she noticed that Uran hadn’t put her bowl and cup away yet.
“Shall I put thy dishes away?” Momo offered. “I have to put away my dishes also, anyways.”
Uran nodded, dazed at Momo’s politeness and way of talking.
When Momo returned, and was seated, they heard a noise above.
“We will be arriving at the Metropolis Station in a few minutes. Please gather your hand bags, tote bags, ect.”
Uran grabbed her backpack, while Momo grabbed a small tote bag, and her crutch.
“Where are you going to, at Metropolis?” Uran asked Momo.
“To the bottom.” Momo murmured.
Uran somehow wasn’t surprised. Momo looked poor, and she was probably sick, and hadn’t seen a doctor.
“Why don’t you have shoes?” Uran asked softly.
Momo looked down at her bare feet and blushed. “I cannot afford to buy shoes. Besides, traveling bare foot is more comfortable.”
Uran noticed that she had embarrassed the girl. “Look, the train is stopping.” Uran blurted, changing the subject. “I’m going to the second level. We can ride a taxi cab together.”
“Domo arigato.” Momo said softly.

Chapter Seven, Metropolis

A few minutes later, the train pulled to a stop. The train was a mob scene. Uran pulled her backpack over her shoulders and waited for the crowd to thin out. Momo put her tote bag around her right shoulder, and held her crutch with her left hand.
“Come.” Momo said. She held her hand out for Uran to grab. Uran put her hand over Momo’s, and was surprised at how soft they were.
Momo guided Uran out of the train, out of the Metropolis Train Station, and out to the streets.
“Wow, you really know your way around here.” Uran murmured.
“Does thee see any cabs?” Momo asked.
The streets were full of people, robots, and music.
“There is one!” Uran cried. “Hey, taxi!”
A yellow cab stopped by the side walk near them. Momo and Uran ran over to the cab, and crawled into it.
The taxi driver had a Ravex CD blaring from the radio.
Uran smiled at Momo.
The drive was pleasant, and they were able to ride on the taxi until the reached the elevators, which would take them to the lower levels of Metropolis.
Uran gave the taxi man a big tip, then she and Momo walked to the elevator, where they met the man who controlled the machine.
“Where to?” asked Ham Egg, the elevator keeper.
“Second level.” Uran replied, just as Momo said, “Bottom level.”
Ham Egg looked confused.
“First to the second floor, then to the bottom.” Momo explained.
“Ok.” Ham Egg said.
Momo and Uran stepped into the huge elevator. Ham Egg cranked a lever beside him, and the elevator slowly started to go downwards.
They passed by wire, rods, and pieces of metal.
A few minutes later, they reached the second level.
“Bye, Momo.” Uran said softly. “I hope I will get to see you again later.”
“Yes. I would like to see thee again sometime.” Momo agreed, smiling one last smiled at Uran before she left.
Uran stepped off of the elevator, and into the streets of the second level.
“Bye, Umeko.” Momo called, as the elevator began to go downwards.
Suddenly, Uran forgot what she had wanted to do. She had wanted to tell Momo her real name, and why she was there at Metropolis.
“Come over to the second level tomorrow at 10:00! Go to the small café near main street!” Uran yelled down.
“Ok.” Momo called up. “Take care of thyself!”
“I will!” Uran replied.
Uran slowly walked through the streets of the second level.

Chapter eight, Tima and Kenichi

Uran strolled towards a café, where she knew her friends, Kenichi and Tima, worked part time for Kenichi’s uncle, Shunsaku Ban.
She pushed opened the door to the café, the smell of coffee and hot chocolate reaching her nose.
Right away, Uran saw Kenichi and Tima. Kenichi was working at the cash register. Tima was being a waitress, serving coffee and other beverages to customers.
During the school year, Shunsaku Ban (also know as Daddy walrus) commuted from Metropolis to Metro City to teach at Metro Middle School.
In the summer and winter, Tima and Kenichi ran their very own robot repair shop. The rest of the time, spring and fall, Tima and Kenichi ran the Café.
Uran walked up to Tima.
“Tima?” Uran asked timidly.
Tima looked at Uran in surprise. “Who are you? You look kind of familiar…”
Uran began to cry happy tears. “Yeah, Its me, Uran!” she cried out softly.
“Uran?” Tima, nearly dropped her tray of coffee mugs.
“Tima! What’s taking so long?” called a voice from the kitchen. Kenichi had gone into the kitchen (He and Tima were taking turns cooking food and serving drinks).
“Kenichi! Look, its Uran!” Tima called back.
Kenichi ran out of the kitchen and stared at Uran. “You look different…” he mused.
Uran stared at Tima and Kenichi. They were… older, way older. They both were probably 21!
Tima nervously ran her fingers through her short, wavy, shiny blond hair. Her eyes blue green eyes sparkled. She was wearing a short blue skirt with white strips, a white long sleeved shirt, white stockings, blue high-top sneakers, and blue gloves.
Kenichi, a tall young man now, smiled pleasantly. His brown eyes shone in the light, and his dark green hair seemed wavier then before. He wore a short sleeved green shirt, long brown shorts, light brown sneakers, a long dark brown coat, green socks, and a small purple handkerchief around his neck.
“So, what are you doing here all alone?” Tima asked Uran, snapping her out of her thoughts.
“Well… Can we talk somewhere private?” Uran said.
“We can close the café.” Tima suggested, “Anyways, the last customer left.”
“I’ll close the shop,” Kenichi offered. “You just take Uran to the back room. Maybe she can meet Ai-Ai.”
Tima smiled and waved for Uran to follow her. Uran looked from Tima to Kenichi, puzzled. Who was Ai-Ai?
“Come now, dear child.” Tima said, holding her hand out for Uran to hold.
Uran followed Tima into a small room. The room was dark, and there were a small light, four chairs and a table, a bed, a small closet and a chest, and a cradle…
“You have a baby?!” Uran gasped.
Tima blushed. “Um, yes. Her name is Ai-Ai.”
Tima lead Uran to the small cradle, and there, laying on a small blanket, was a baby girl.
“She is like me, a cyborg.” Tima whispered, with pure affection. “This baby was going to die, and the mother had already passed away. So, a scientist operated on her, and made her a cyborg. No one wanted the baby, so me and Kenichi took her for our own…”
“Aw, that’s so cute.” Uran whispered, her face pink with excitement.
Suddenly, the baby opened her eyes slowly and looked around. Her eyes were clear blue, and they reminded her of Momo’s eyes.
Ai-Ai, the baby, had light brownish blond hair, and was very tiny and delicate.
“Can I touch her hand?” Uran asked.
When Tima nodded, Uran slowly put her finger on the little girls hand. It was soft and warm.
Ai-Ai looked up at Uran and gurgled, a smile forming on her lips. Uran was enchanted.
“Ok, now what did you want to talk to us about?” Kenichi asked, walking into the room.
Suddenly, Ai-Ai began to cry.
“Uh, oops.” Kenichi whispered, walking over to the baby. He picked up Ai-Ai slowly, and started to bounce her up and down slowly.
“Have a seat, and then tell us about you journey.” Kenichi said, sitting down at a chair by the table.
Uran also sat down, but Tima shot up to her feet.
“How rude we are!” Tima exclaimed. “Would you like anything to eat or drink?”
Uran thought for a little while, “A glass of milk, please.”
“Okay.” Tima said, walking out of the room.
When Tima returned, Ai-Ai had stopped crying. Tima handed Uran her glass of milk.
“Thanks.” Uran murmured. Her throat had gone dry. She drank the milk slowly, trying to make it last.
Tima had two water bottles in her hands, and a baby bottle.
Kenichi gave Tima the baby. Tima held Ai-Ai in her arms, and the baby began to drink the milk slowly from the bottle.
“Well, it all started at the park…” Uran began. She explained everything once again, and ended by saying, “So, can I stay here at Metropolis with you guys?”
Tima looked at Kenichi. Kenichi looked at Tima. They nodded at the same time, and began to smile.

Chapter nine, Plans to Stay at Metropolis

“Of course you can stay.” Kenichi said. “But, it would be nice if you helped around the café.”
“Of course, we will enroll you in a school here at Metropolis.” Tima added. “You can go to Metropolis Middle School- the second level version.”
Tima and Kenichi seemed excited about Uran staying with them.
“I’ll go see what I can do about the school.” Kenichi announced, getting up. He walked out of the room and Uran heard a muffled voice in the kitchen.
“Oh my goodness, what about Shunsaku Ban?” Tima called to Kenichi.
“I’ll talk to him too!” Kenichi yelled back.
Tima smiled at Uran. “You can stay here, at the Café.” she said. “Do you mind staying here alone?”
Uran minded it a lot. “D-do I have to stay alone?” she gulped.
Tima smiled. “I was just kidding, Shunsaku lives here at the café. You will be staying here with him. Kenichi and, Ai-Ai, and I live at the Robot Repair shop.”
Uran let out a sigh of relief. Then she smiled. “I think I’m going to like staying here.”
Tima smiled again, and Ai-Ai gurgled, happily satisfied with her meal.
A few minutes later, Kenichi returned.
“Well, I couldn’t get you a place at the middle school, but I was just in time to catch Uncle Shunsaku. He offered to home school you in the afternoons.”
Tears of joy sprang into Uran’s eyes.
“Shunsaku will come home in and about one or two hours.” Tima said. “Would you be alright by yourself?”
“I guess so…” Uran replied, kinda scared to be left at the café alone.
“If you want, We can wait with you-” Tima began.
“No, its alright.” Uran interrupted. “I think Ai-Ai is getting tired. You should go home. Are there any dogs or anything around here? Like a guard dog?”
Kenichi laughed. “Yeah, there is Harmony, our small terrier dog. I’ll bring her in.”
Kenichi was back in a few minutes, with a small terrier close at his heels.
“You be good for Uran, ok?” Tima said to the dog, standing up, Ai-Ai still in her arms.
“Bye Uran, we’ll be back tomorrow at 5:00 A.M., ok?” Kenichi said.
“Okay, bye .” Uran waved farewell.
Kenichi and Tima walked out of the café, closing the door firmly behind them.
Harmony, the dog, looked up at Uran, its head slightly tilted.
“I’m tired.” Uran said to the dog. Uran looked around, and walked out of the room. She walked down the corridor, and to the kitchen, with Harmony following her.
There, in a drawer, she found a new light bulb. Just what she needed.
Uran ran back into room, and stopped suddenly, Harmony bumped into Uran’s legs and began to whimper.
“Are you hungry, girl?” Uran asked the small dog. Uran kneeled down and rubbed Harmony’s ears. The little dog growled happily.
“Now, I’m going to replace the light bulb in the lamp, ok?”
Harmony barked.
Uran stood up and turned off the light. The room became darker then before. But, there was still a little trace of light, since it was only about 5:00 o’clock in the afternoon.
Uran quickly changed the bulb and turned the light back on.
“Whew.” Uran sighed. “I think I’ll unpack my stuff, then I will make Daddy Walrus some dinner.”
Harmony just barked and sat down.
“And give you some dinner too.” Uran added, with a little laugh.
Uran opened the closet that she had seen before, and slowly unpacked her clothes.
Then she opened a small chest, that she had spotted when she had first entered the room, and reached into her open backpack (more like trunk), and began to take out the other stuff.
In her backpack, she found: a tooth brush and toothpaste (with a note saying, brush every night!), five pairs of shoes (sandals, high-top sneakers, snow boots, her ankle boots, and a longer version of the black boots that she was wearing now), underwear, two pairs of gloves (one with the finger tips cut off, the other normal), a scarf, a handkerchief, tissues (what for?), a first-aid kit (the normal stuff, and a few repair tools), an mp3 player, and art kit with markers and paper, a few work books, and last, the most valuable to Uran, a small photo album…

Uran sat down on the small bed in the room. She opened the album. The first picture that she saw was a recent picture of her and her family…
Tears fell onto the picture as Uran tried hard not to cry.

Chapter ten, Cloudless Night

Just then, the door to the café opened. Uran shot upwards and looked around for something to protect herself with.
She finally grabbed a small wooden stick.
She heard the door close, and then foot steps. The sound came closer and closer…
The door opened!
Uran’s eyes widened in fright at first, but then she burst out laughing.
Shunsaku Ban was standing at the door, holding a bag full of boxes of Chinese food, a surprised look on his face. His mouth was wide opened.
“Hi, Daddy Walrus!” Uran greeted him, wiping her tears away before he could see them.
“Is that you in there, Uran?” Shunsaku Ban asked, shocked. “You look more human! Just like Kenichi said you would…”
Uran grinned. Shunsaku Ban smiled, and shock his head, good naturedly.
“Come into the café dinning room, I got Chinese food.” Shunsaku Ban said.
“Mmm, Chinese food!” Uran murmured, “My favorite.”
Shunsaku Ban smiled, and lead the way back into the Café dinning room.
They both sat down and Shunsaku took out the small boxes from the bag. He placed Uran’s food in front of her, and didn’t have to tell her twice to begin to eat.
Uran ate her food slowly, trying to let it last.
She bit into a dumpling and smiled as she remember the first time that she had eaten one. She had stuffed the whole thing into her mouth, and her brother had laughed. But they stuffed dumplings into their mouths too. They had all laughed, even their parents.
“Thank goodness today is the start of the Fall Festival.” Uran murmured.
“Yes, but you better study every once in a while.” Shunsaku told Uran.
Every October in Metropolis, Metro City and a few other towns and cities, they celebrated the Fall Festival. For two weeks, school was off. The only bad thing about the break is that there are usually tests waiting for the children back at the schools.
When they had finished their dinner, Shunsaku Ban threw away the trash into a trashcan outside.
When he returned, he saw Uran sitting at one of the tables, with her art kit. Uran was sketching a picture of Momo, perfectly colored with color pencils.
“I know that girl.” Shunsaku Ban said from above Uran.
Uran looked up startled. “Oh… You do?”
“Yeah, Momo. How do you know her?” Shunsaku asked, sitting down at a chair.
Uran explained about how she met Momo.
“I don’t suggest you see her again.” Shunsaku announced. “She is a very mysterious young lady. She is always seen wearing bandages, and she lived on the bottom level.”
Uran looked down at the sketch and frowned. “She is very nice to me.” she murmured. “Can’t I just see her sometimes? I don’t think she is bad.”
Shunsaku sighed. “If you want to, but be careful.
Uran was upset that Shunsaku didn’t approve of Momo. “I’m going to my room to take a nap.” Uran announced, gathering up her papers and art kit.
Uran walked into her room, with Harmony following her. Uran put away her stuff, and changed into her pajamas.
She crawled into her bed, and stared out of a small window next to her. The night was cloudless and dark, and tomorrow night would be a full moon…
A few minutes later, Uran fell into a deep sleep, in peace.

Chapter Eleven, The Truth Be Told

The next day, Uran woke up to the clatter of dishes, and a child crying.
Kenichi and Tima were working again, and Ai-Ai was in her cradle, waiting to be feed milk.
Tima burst into the room, her face flushed. “I am sorry about Ai-Ai, but since you are awake, would you please feed her a bottle? Right now the café is filled up.”
“Ok.” Uran replied, climbing out of her bed. “Let me just get dressed.”
Uran changed back into her short, long sleeved, red dress with small white flowers on the bottom, The longer version of her black boots, and her small white headband.
“Thank you.” Tima thanked Uran, walking out of the room.
Uran picked up the baby, and gave Ai-Ai her bottle.
A few minutes later, Ai-Ai was sleeping peacefully in Uran’s arms. Uran stood up and placed Ai-Ai in her cradle.
Uran slowly walked out of the room, closing the door softly behind her.
Uran walked over to Tima, and tugged on her sleeve. “Tima?” she asked.
“Yes?” Tima replied, giving the only customer his coffee.
“Since Ai-Ai is asleep, and there is not that many customers here right now… May I go out and explore Metropolis?”
“I guess so, but be very careful.” Tima warned. “And don’t take your purse, just put your phone in your pocket, ok? There are a lot of pickpockets around here.”
Uran nodded, happy about being able to explore. Uran ran back to her room, stepped around Harmony, who was asleep on the floor, grabbed her phone, and ran back out of her room. Ai-Ai was still sleeping peacefully.
Uran nearly skipped out of the café. It was only 7:00 o’clock in the morning, and Momo was not due to meet Uran at the Café until 10.
“Maybe I could go meet her at her house.” Uran mused. “Rats, I should have asked her where she lived.”
Uran strolled through the second level of Metropolis, making her way to the elevator.
“I know, I will ask Ham Egg if he know where Momo lives!” Uran said to herself.
Uran ran the rest of the way to the elevator, where she found Ham Egg standing, half asleep.
“Hey, Ham Egg!” Uran called.
“What, I’m awake!” Ham Egg cried out, dazed.
Uran walked up to Ham Egg, and tried to look calm. “Do you know where that girl with dark blue hair, the one I came down her with, lives?” she asked.
“Of course, everyone knows where that mysterious girl lives.” Ham Egg replied confidently. “Shall I show you where she lives?” Ham Egg was always pleased when people asked him for directions, or a tour.
“That would be nice.” Uran nodded.
“Come on in then.”
Ham Egg cranked the lever and started the machine.
A few minutes later, they reached the bottom floor. Ham Egg gave her directions to Momo’s home, and then he went back to the top.
Uran walked nervously around the streets. People and robots stared at her.
Finally, Uran reached Momo’s ‘house’. It was a cave.
Uran knocked on the cave wall, and waited.
Momo walked slowly out of the darkness of the cave and looked at Uran in surprise. Momo leaned against her crutch, her legs crooked and kind of unstable.
“Why is Thee out so early in the morning?” Momo asked kindly, her voice soft and quiet. “I could have gone to thee at the agreed time of day. Thee would not have had to travel to the depths of the bottom level.”
Uran grinned, her face flushed. “I wanted to see you earlier. May I come in?”
“Of course, how could I be so rude the Thee? Come in, and make thyself comfortable.” Momo said, “I have not much to offer thee, but some leaf tea.”
“That will be just fine.” Uran replied, walking into Momo’s ‘home’.
Uran sat on a chair sized rock in the cave, and waited as Momo walked slowly around the room, making them some tea.
When the tea had been served, and Momo was seated besides Uran, Momo looked into Uran’s eyes and asked, “What is it that thee has to tell? I shall listen to thee, Umeko.”
Uran looked down at her cup of tea. “Well, the thing is, I’m not Umeko. I’m Uranium - Uran.” Uran went on, explaining everything. She knew that she could trust Momo, couldn’t she?
Momo listened carefully, taking a small sip of her tea every once in a while.
When Uran finished, Momo said, “The truth be told. What is thee going to do, Uranium, my dear?”
For some reason, Uran felt so safe when Momo was around. “I-I don’t know…” she whispered, tears suddenly falling from her eyes.
“Why is thou saddened?” Momo asked softly, “Does thee long for thy siblings? And thy parents?”
Uran looked up at Momo, her face streaked with tears. “How do you know…”
“Thee has it written all over thy face, thy sorrow.” Momo replied, never raising her voice.
Uran looked down, her eyes wide, and full of tears.
“Mine dear child, thee shall not be alone in the darkness. Thee shall fly through the sky, an angel thee is.”
“But-but I always make mistakes!” Uran cried. “I always get mad, I-I-”
“Thee is a light, a candle in darkness.” Momo said. “Thee will find thy place in the world some dawn.”
Uran looked up at Momo, her eyes bright with tears still.
Momo looked down, and reached for her neck. She grabbed a small necklace off her neck, and looked deep into Uran’s eyes.
Momo put the small necklace around Uran’s neck.
The necklace was a small silver chain, with a small green jewel hanging from the bottom. The jewel was wrapped in small strings of hard metal in the shape of vines.
Uran looked at Momo in shock.
Suddenly, something banged onto the cave wall. It was a rock. Just then, rocks started to shower towards Momo.
Momo wrapped her arms around Uran, protecting her from the rocks.
“Monster!” Uran heard someone yell from the entrance of the cave.
Uran looked and saw a bunch of kids, picking up rocks and throwing them into the cave.
“Please stop.” Momo cried softly. She stood up and sat on the floor in front of the children, her head slightly bowed. “Do not hurt mine friend, I beg of thee.”
One of the kids threw a rock at Momo, but Uran grabbed the rock before it hit Momo.
“What are you kids doing to Momo-Chan?” Uran demanded. She scowled.
The children noticed the necklace on Uran’s neck, and they all gasped. “She has been possessed by the monster!”
The children ran away.
Uran was puzzled as to why the children called Momo a monster. She started to run after the children, when Momo spoke.
“Uran-kun, do not chase them.” Momo said, standing up slowly. She leaned on her crutch, and walked towards Uran. “Has thee eaten breakfast yet?” she asked.
Uran shook her head. “Its not that bad for me. I’m a robot after all.” Uran looked depressed when she said that.
“How long will thee hide from Takeshi, the murderer?”
“I don’t know.” Uran murmured nervously.
“I probably should get going.” Uran sighed after a few moments of silence. “will you still come by at 10:00 o’clock?”
“Yes, I will not keep thee waiting.” Momo replied.
“Okay, thanks, Momo.” Uran hugged Momo for a second, then ran out of the cave.
When Uran had arrived at the café a few minutes later. Uran spent the next few hours baby-sitting Ai-Ai.

Chapter Twelve, Diagnosis

At 10:00 o’clock sharp, Uran heard a knock on the door to her room. Uran looked up from a book that she had been reading, and saw Momo at the doorway.
“Momo!” Uran cried. Then she lowered her voice, “Momo-chan!”
“Would thee like to go to an enchanting garden?” Momo asked, her eyes slightly sparkling, but still a bit tired.
“An enchanting garden?!” Uran gasped. “Of course I would like to go! When can we go? Oh thank you!”
Momo put her index finger in front of her lips, in a gesture for silence. “We mustn’t wake thy friends child.”
Uran nodded, and they walked out of the room. Uran told Tima that she was going on a field trip with Momo. Tima and Kenichi looked pained, but smiled and nodded.
Momo had walked out of the café, and was waiting for Uran. Uran walked up to Momo and asked, “Where is this enchanting garden that you speak of?”
“Far from Metropolis.” Momo answered. “Let us just stop at my home, and I will fill a basket with food for thee and I.”
So they went back to Momo’s home, and Momo grabbed a basket and filled it with food (she had probably gone shopping for food the hour before).
“Follow me, Mine dear child.” Momo said, holding her hand out for Uran to hold.
When Uran grabbed her hand, she felt safer then before.
“We are going to a small forest a bit off from Metro City. It is called the Enchanted Forest.” Momo announced. “Thee and I will walk there.” she added.
So they began their long journey to forest.
Halfway there, they were passing a cape, the waters below splashing.
“Hey, I know this place!” Uran exclaimed, “This is where Black Jack lives! Maybe I could go say hello to Pinoco…”
Momo smiled, “If thee wishes to greet thy friend, I shall not interfere.”
Uran skipped up the cape, and knocked on the door. Momo had fallen behind.
Pinoco opened the door, “Uran! Is that you?” she cried.
Uran nodded, her face flushed with excitement. She and Pinoco talked for a while, the suddenly, Black Jack walked up behind them.
“What is it?” Black Jack asked Pinoco, then he saw Uran. He looked past Uran, and saw Momo struggling with her crutch.
Suddenly, Momo’s legs just gave way. Momo rolled down the cliff, down the path.
Black Jack shot out of the house, with Uran and Pinoco following close at his heels.
Momo looked up at Black Jack and her eyes widened. Black Jack kneeled down next to her. “Are you alright?” he asked.
Momo stared into his eyes. Not at his scar, not at his hair, but his eyes. Her own eyes began to sparkle in the light.
“I have not been in god health for a long time.” Momo replied, “Is thee a doctor?”
“Sort of.”
Momo sat up, and looked down at her legs.
Black Jack checked her bones, and found that nothing was broken. But, he did find a disorder in Momo’s legs.
“Go inside.” Black Jack ordered Uran and Pinoco. “I will follow with-”
“Momo.” Uran said. She and Pinoco ran into the house.
Black Jack looked back at Momo. “Come, I will carry you. I suggest a check-up.”
Momo climbed onto Black Jacks back, and he carried her to the house, grabbing Momo’s crutch on the way.
Uran and Pinoco watched as Black Jack went into his examining room. Momo was seated on a small examining bench.
“Would you let me give you a check-up?” Uran and Pinoco heard Black Jack ask Momo.
“Would not that cost me? I do not want to trouble thee with such a poor patient. I will not be able to pay thee well.” Momo replied softly. “I will be fine. I just happened to slip.”
Uran peeked into the examining room. Black Jack was checking Momo’s knees.
“I think you have Femoral torsion.” Black Jack announced.

Chapter Thirteen, A Drive

Uran gasped. She told Pinoco what she had heard. But Pinoco had something else on her mind.
“Did you see the way they stared at each other?” Pinoco asked indignantly.
Uran just laughed. “I don’t think Momo is the type to-”
“I will I could repay thee.” they heard a voice above them. Momo and Black Jack were right behind them!
“You shouldn’t be walking so much.” Black Jack declared. “It will make your bones worse!”
Uran was shocked. “Momo-chan, maybe we should cancel the trip the that garden.”
“Garden?” Pinoco asked. “Can we come along? Please, please, please?”
“I could drive us there.” Black Jack offered in his strong tone.
“Thee would?” Momo asked in surprise. “There art not any word to express mine gratitude.”
“Lets get going then. It’s already 12:00 o’clock.”
They all filed into Black Jacks car.
“I can’t believe how nice Chenchei is being!” Pinoco whispered to Uran, “I think it is because your friend, Momo.”
Momo was seated in the front, while the little girls had the back seats to themselves.
Black Jack was lecturing Momo about overworking her bones, and Momo was thanking him for his kindness.
Momo had told Black Jack where the forest was, and four hours later, they reached the place.
Momo and Uran got out of the car, but Black Jack and Pinoco stayed in the car.
“I have an operation tomorrow, out of town.” Black Jack said from the window of his car. “I will be back late in the afternoon. If you have any problems with your legs, just call my office.”
Black Jack turned the car around, and began to drive away. Pinoco stuck her tongue out at Momo.
