I was looking at my messages on DeviantArt, and to my surprise Jeffery 'CHAMBA' Cruz of UDON, (company that publishes comic books, art books and manga, they primarily work with Capcom) had drawn some Astro Boy artwork as part of a commission, which appears to be primary based on the 2009 movie.

And I simply love the guys at UDON's artwork, so I felt that I had to show this.

He says that it's currently unfinished and is still working on the background. Matt Moylan of UDON had also drawn a short AB comic when the movie was announced.

Anyhow, it sure as heck makes me glad to see someone from one of my favorite publishers draw something from one of my favorite series, even though it is commission. I simply had to share this, it looks great.

Oh yeah I saw this! I thought it looked so cool! =3 Gotta hand it to people who can draw people like they're literally coming at the screen and be able to get everything right.

Who's the man at the top left?

According to CHAMBA, he's supposed to be Tenma.

Yeah I kinda had trouble figuring out who he was without the goatee.

I had thought of Tenma, too, because of the nose, the expression. It makes sense having Astro with both of this fathers and his brother.

I like how Ochanomizu is drawn. Very recognizable yet at the same time very realistic.

Astro looks like he is in his late teens!
