What Cobalt would look like if he were in the 2003 series!

Great Stuff!

I know the last pic was posted in Astro-Boy-2003's art thread a few months ago:

It's interesting to see characters like Jetter Mars and Cobalt in a modern style.

EDIT: A word of warning for others who might post in this thread: I highly recommend asking permission to share fan art on here from Deviantart. Many artists do not like their artwork getting shared without their knowledge.

In the case of Astro-Boy-2003, I think it's okay since she has posted her own fan art here before as evidenced by the link in this post.

For a second, I was worried... Yeah, don't do this stuff if you're not sure, or don't have permission. Over these recent years, I've decided that I do not like the idea of people posting my art elsewhere without my knowledge or express permission, with or without credit. I do not think that there is anything I can do about what's already been posted around (in fact, it was an incident involving a user who is also on Tumblr posting something old from my deviantART account onto Tumblr without asking, and my eventually deciding that I despise this person, after specific events and due to certain practices, that inspired this decision), but now, I'd like to be asked first. The answer is most likely going to be a flat "no", however. But I'd rather be asked before some shmuck does it anyway; it'll be easier to find them and blow up at them for it later...

I think there is a way to adjust your settings on deviant art so your stuff can't be crosslinked, and I'm sure you can watermark it. Someone here had posted Japanese fan art here before, I doubt they obtained permission. I agree with what you say, and in this case the art in question was shared by the artist herself on this site so the main link was known here and I figured that permission had already been implied. For my own stuff on da, I assume that I've put it in public domain, or at least GPL'ed it.

Hm, I dunno. I've never looked. In any case, it might make it difficult for myself to post my own artwork to other places (granted, it usually shows up on Tumblr first, before I get around to posting on dA...).

I know about the Japanese fanart thread. I used to not think much of it, either. Of course, it was also mentioned in the thread that some Japanese sites with fanart and such on them can sometimes disappear, for one reason or another... Probably not a valid excuse for saving some of what I found in the thread (even if I didn't post it anywhere else, I DID end up making an avatar and editing stuff is a huge no-no; I can only recall one image though), regardless.
