I'm a woman and I can assure you that my interest in the Black Jack series has absolutely nothing to do with Pinoko or Black Jack's 'sexiness' (I am gay). If a series is good it will sell to all genders, it's the plot that hooks people more than content. You're probably finding more female fans of the series because females tend to be more conversational and open to sharing what they like and what they don't.

You should most certainly cosplay Black Jack! My partner last year cosplayed as Black Jack and it was amazing. I spent a few weeks styling the wig (I had to take a white wig and then dye part of it black and then add in some wefts). It's more or less an easy cosplay, the most difficult part being the wig and the scar (if you did it like we did with liquid latex). Cosplay is so much fun....

I remember you posting the link to the photo of that Cosplay. It was an amazing job!
BTW, Blackjack sometimes comes across as a sort of batman like superhero. He throws scalpels like a deadly weapon with ninja accuracy!

Well, I am not gay, (though some of my brother's friends are gay and they're pretty cool. ) though I have a very unusual voice for a girl. I mean, if you heard it, you would probably think it's a teenage boy. And I don't know why I have a boyish voice, but I just do. Anyways, I like my voice cause I can disguise it. I can make a very deep voice, a young boy voice, Girl voice, and teenage (Mostly boys) voices. I guess that's the most part of why I'm into voice acting soo much. I love to use my voice! (I guess its true that when some girls go through puberty, their voices get deeper. )

Anyways, I don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend (<Yeah, I'm definitely not going to have a girlfriend. Sorry, ladies but I'm straight. ) yet and I don't plan on getting one. I'd rather be alone. (Hey! Maybe I will make a Perfect Black Jack! I don't seem to talk much, I scare people, and I don't like getting into relationships that much. )

So yeah, next year, me be cosplaying as Black Jack! (I can just hear my brother say something like: "You don't need a costume. You are Black Jack!"

He's a great person to emulate I think.

And I agree with you Tetsuwan! He's that sort of person that's very very nice and loves life but comes off as scary and stoic, he's uncompromising in his beliefs. I am attracted to these kinds of characters.

#739: When you make snow-sculptures of Atom and then cry when it melts.

hm,hm. so,so. But, I think it's mostly because of Black Jack being attractive. (Almost like a magnet.) (C'mon! I think Black Jack is cool! *cough* And also, hot and sexy. *cough*) And Pinoko's cuteness. Besides, even if you're gay, that doesn't mean that you can't think someone like Black Jack is Sexy or like Pinoko is cute for that matter. I think Pinoko's very cute!

Anyways, I find it weird that you don't think Pinoko is cute. (Everyone thinks she cute! XD!) And that you don't think that Black Jack is well... *cough* sexy*cough*

I also noticed the same thing with Cyborg 009. Females are more into it than males are. I'm not sure if its just about the gender's interest. (I kinda find that a bit stereo typical. People are just people. Everyone's human; we are all the same.) But this must be because of all the hot guys in there. (I mean C'mon just take a look at Joe Shimamura for ex. He's kinda hot. Though, *cough* not sexy like BJ *cough* So, he attracts, (And some other male characters like Albert and Jet.) a lot of females. Though, for me. I Love Francoise Arnoul. She's cute!

Man, I have some extreme out of control feelings for fictional characters.

My voice is ordinary but slightly more on the boy-ish side but there is definetely nothing girly about my looks. :D

When I was a junior high school student I wore my hair in two braids once and it just looked plain ridiculous on me.

So I cut it short and ended up gaining a hairstyle that becomes very Uran-like in the morning. It usually lasts for a few hours unless I run around.

I joined this forum in late 2013 when I was 15 going on 16. Ignore my oldest posts, they embarrass me so much that I've considered permanantly leaving the forum more than once. I've grown out of my fangirling phase over Black Jack, Atom and Uran ages ago but the memories still embarrass me at times... Though, I try to be more open-minded about it and accept it as an "interesting stage of my life". :tezuka:

Ah, don't worry. I'm just the same, though in a slightly different way. Most girls like cool guys but I happen to have a weird liking for cute little boys.

:astro: <----------- I totally blame it on him...

740: If when everyone in class feel annoyed with the crazy exams, and while the other girls talk about earrings and boys and shopping, you head off to the school library to read manga in the Tezuka section (in which I am STILL YET the only reader. :shifty :)

741: If you draw for fun and end up drawing Uran.

742: If you get angry in the head when a girl says that Tezuka manga is for stupid kids, especially Tetsuwan Atomu / Astro Boy.

743: If the manga series you draw was partly inspired by stuff from Tezuka manga.

744: If the main characters of your original manga dresses in black, red and green most of the time.

745: If you look at the girls' school uniform in the school and (although you don't wear skirts) you think it might make a good Wato Chiyoko cosplay. And perhaps a uniform for a teenage Miss Yuko.
