Astro got out of the x-ray control area with the completed film in hand. His face was looking concerned about the results. He handed the x-ray over to Black Jack.

"What can we do about this, Black Jack?" the robot asked.

A lot of things were just filling his head. His teacher was in a grave condition. The strange girl he borrowed the scrub from wasn't feeling well. Dr. Tenma was here too, but he felt a bit too nervous to talk to his former father.

"What can we do about this, Black Jack?" the robot asked.

A lot of things were just filling his head. His teacher was in a grave condition. The strange girl he borrowed the scrub from wasn't feeling well. Dr. Tenma was here too, but he felt a bit too nervous to talk to his former father.

I took the X-ray sheet and looked at it in the light, and saw that the left lung and heart and found deep relief, the left lung was clear of the rib particles and the heart was healthy too. he looked in the kindey and that was a different story, he saw clumps forming in his kidney the reason he needed to see me. I smiled and said

"Good news and bad news" i sighed

"Good news, his heart and lung are both in good condition and bad news...what bad news beyond his kidneys and gallbladder needing attention but this i will do alone, unless the three of you want to watch as i remove kidney stones? I told them

Tenma paused for a moment, then turned around and said,

"...I thought the surgery was for the car crash injury!" Tenma's voice had rosed out of annoyance.

"Yes kidney stones are serious, but look at him, he's weakening from his injuries! And last time I checked, you didn't finish with the surgery for THAT!"

Tenma's stress was increasing a great deal. Not only had Tenma's growing fears returned ever since Shunsaku Ban got into the car crash, and the fact that Dr. O'Shay and Astro were here, but he was getting very impatient with this medical doctor who was praised for his expertise. Some expert he was turning out to be, Tenma thought.

He was starting to lose trust in Dr. Black Jack.

Astro saw the stressed Dr. Tenma. He somehow couldn't help to think that he caused some of the scientist's current stress, especially since he was formerly his son. The robot decided to leave the room in hopes to relieve some of the stress off of the doctors. He also wanted to check on the "Cora" girl if she was alright.

O'Shay was also starting to get impatient, like Temna. "HOW MANY OPERTAIONS ARE YOU GONNA DO!?) He demanded.

(Um, could we move this story to another setting and scene please? This "operation" is starting to get a bit boring .

Tenma paused for a moment, then turned around and said,

I was beginning to get annoyed by the two men turned around to Tenma and O'Shay

"He called me yesterday about his side having problems and when i examined him i told him he has "kidney stones" and i schedualed him for surgury this evening, then the accident occoured and i had to preform more work then i intended but i did anyways. So with his lung now repaired, and his still under anesthetics so i'll take care of the kidneys now, so that he won't have to come back later and still be in pain from his kidneys and my work wasted becuase he would tear his kindeys that would cause more problems then this was, so are you going to doubt and argue my exspertice? or are you going to shut up and allow me to finish? I told him

I picked my scalpul and cut straight down his side and began the surgery for his kidneys. after a few minutes draining out urine and blood and puss, i took out fairly sized stones from his kidney about marble sized to ping pong ball sized. after extracting the stones. i stiched up that and finished stiching up his chest. I put down my untincils and told the men who stood there.

"I've finished with the surgeries, now we can wait for the anesthesia to wear off and then check up on his stats once every thirty minutes if he has troubles i'll deal with it, understood? I told him just as bitterly as they did with their questions.

O'Shay almost felt like celebrating. Daddy Walrus is going to be alright! With that big nose of his he jumped high and came to the ground. This is finally over! He knew they'll still be some time before it wears off, but at the relief of the operation made him happy.

He was either too angry to say anything or didn't know what else to say, instead he left the doctor to his work and returned to the stats screen, eying it. He couldn't wait for this to be finished, but for Shunsaku Ban's sake, he knew that he had to be patient.

During that time, he couldn't help but get a sense that Astro Boy had noticed him earlier and Tenma had grumbled. He was hoping that the robotic boy wouldn't have recognized him, but with Dr. Black Jack barking out his name every few minutes, it was no wonder why the boy had figured out just who it was behind that surgical mask and hair net. Even then, it didn't take a genius to figure out who Tenma was...

Moments passed, until finally Black Jack had made the announcement that the operations were finished, giving the men some final orders to follow. O'Shay was overly-excited about this, which Tenma had ignored.

He sighed, both out of relief and exhaustion and had promptly plopped onto a chair next to the monitor screens, holding his head in the palm of his hand. He was so tired out and his headache was still there.

Seeing Tenma next to the machines, I poked my head in and said.

"Tenma, if you have a headache, there is a bottle of motrine and asprine in the pharmacy, i suggest you take two" I told him then left him in peace of mind.

From underneath his hand, Tenma's eye briefly glanced over to Black Jack as he watched him return to his business. Rubbing his head, he pondered whether he should go along with the doctor's suggestion...

But looking over at the pace maker, Tenma reminded himself that he should still be watching it. The drama may have been over, but Shunsaku Ban's health was more important than his own right now.

But then, he had also noticed Astro Boy in the corner of his eye and turned his head towards him, starring at him awkwardly. Tenma couldn't remember how long it has been since he and Astro had parted their ways as father and son. That boy was just distracting, it entranced Tenma. But realizing that he had been starring for long enough, he quickly looked back at the screens, and then towards Shunsaku Ban.

'Wake up...' Tenma urged in his thoughts.
