Seeing Cora's reaction gave Astro an odd feeling. He wasn't really sure about what Black Jack had said since now he seemed to have an argument with Dr. Tenma.

"Actually Black Jack didn't mention it at all since the operation ended awhile ago," he stated, "so there's a chance he could have called it off..."

Astro's memory was getting fuzzy again about Black Jack's statements. He hoped this weirdness wasn't the same feeling he got from the astronaut lady at the academy.

"Oh..." Cora glanced back inside the house, hoping Black Jack hadn't heard. If he hadn't mentioned the fee, then maybe it'd slipped his mind. That or there really was a heart in the man, though Cora couldn't decide on which.

Still, least he saved a life. Money makers don't often care about that. That stands for something...

"Might be safe just not to-" And then Cora found herself staring rather dumbly at Astro. Not at him directly, but rather his hair. No not hair, it was way to shiny, almost like...

And like so, Cora approached the young robot prodding one of his spikes, "Astro, what happened to your head?" she asked giving the spikes both a firm tug. Her eyes nearly popped out from their sockets when they didn't budge even an inch. No way...

"T-They're glued to your skull!"

"What do you mean?" Astro questioned, "My head always been like this."

Astro was confused about this new girl. He thought everyone knew he was a robot, especially since he didn't see any other kids run around in just their underwear and boots. Maybe she was new to the city.

"Um, Cora, I'm a robot; my hair is part of my head structure."

"Now,that i have everyone here, i suppose you know whats coming, right? Payment,i care not who pays or how many pays for it, i too have my dues to pay for and medical equiptment isn't cheep like going down and getting something in town. but along with that, i have something for you all to listen too" I stood with my arms crossed

"Of course I know you're a robot, I wasn't born yesterday!" Cora responded back with while still poking at the spikes. She stopped, taking a step back frowning "But your head's never been like this, you had hair!"

This was too weird, Cora didn't like this at all. And why did Astro keep looking at her that way? It wasn't a friend staring back at her, just a stranger.

She paced around him curiously unable to shake off the unease, worry building by the second, "Did something happen to you? Hamegg didn't tamper with the circuits in your skull did he?"

And then the voice of the doctor broke the scene, and Cora felt her heart sink into her ill health stomach as he mentioned what she hoped he wouldn't.

Her shoulder sunk, "Oh no..."

"I'll pay." Shunsaku suddenly replied, his voice strong and firm. "I don't care how much your fee is. I should have enough to pay. Knowing you, it'll probably be fairly high. Don't charge my medical fee's to my friends."

Shunsaku was very mad. "Take whatever you want, Black Jack." he growled. "I'll leave as soon as I can. Sorry for my rudeness, but I can't help it."

Everybody here volunteered to help me, some of them couldn't stay becuase of illness and others stood around to continue, and that was payment enough, usually i did the operations and not helped at all by the people who brought me the patient but you helped without any medical skill what so ever, having no stomach for gruesome and gore, I say payment paid via charaity, you all helped for the sake that he be alive not caring for what kind of payment just the fact you wanted to help me save him and we did" I told them

i turned my attention to Daddy Walrus.

"And No, Daddy Walrus, i have my patients stay for as long as needed until they can be able to be normal again" I smiled

"but also, some of you have asked how do i know any of you, i heard of many things from pateints, Cora and Astro i've heard from one of your freinds by the name of Zade who i treating for tonsil removal, O'Shay i've heard in the news bt also from your secretary,and Daddy Walrus i've learned from a boy in your class whom i was treating for cancer, and Tenma i've learned from a very devoted woman, however i have a letter for all of you from that woman, who fact seemed to have enough courage to able write it down in words, but if you do or do not want to hear it please say so" I told him solomely
