(I guess that gives us two setting ideas, one I got by PM and one Halloween-themed.

The former one would require more characters, and Androids' full attention... the Halloween one might work even though Halloween is tomorrow for most of us.

(Kay you know what, I'm just going to restart this and just see where it leads to, because I haven't really been getting a lot of feedback at all. Whether it leads to something Halloween-themed or some other setting, well, I guess we'll just have to see how it goes.)

Tenma stood there impatiently, waiting for Black Jack to answer him where the gunshots were coming from. But there was no answer, at all, and instead the gunshots had resumed without end. They grew louder and more constant, making Tenma hold his head and ears as the world seemingly spun around him.

"Answer me already!!" He screamed. No response.

Then the world around him went dark.

His eyes shot wide open, and Tenma immediately sat himself up, gasping. His eyes darted around his surroundings and saw that he was no longer at Black Jack's residence, but in his own bedroom of his castle-like laboratory on the edge of Metro City. Cold sweat rolled down his forehead, dampening the bed sheets and night gown he wore. And on the bedstand next to him, his alarm clock was ringing loudly into his ear. He paused, blinking quietly. Then he had realized what had happened,

It was all a dream.

Shunsaku Ban's crash and surgery, Tenma's meeting of Dr. Black Jack, and that little girl Tenshi, were all part of a dream.

A deep, shaken breath had been expelled from his lips, and Tenma held his head in pain, again pushing his black locks into his eyelids. How real that all seemed!

He eyed his alarm clock to his side, silencing the beeping and noticed the time. He would be several minutes late for work, and Tenma sighed as he got out and hurried to prepare himself for the day ahead of him.

His mind was however, obviously preoccupied by all of this.

"What did all of that mean?..." Tenma asked himself, but no answers came to light.

Just as he had finished dressing and walked down the hall, he had also taken the time to look at the date of the calender.

"October 31st..." He remarked.

awesome can i be, Hoshie but in disquise with the name of Amy? Jerk? if thats ok with you

(This may or may not cause consistency problems.

However if we all assume that Hoshie never did die, then it could work. So, Hoshie is the one you want as your second character, right?

Also just because I'm allowing Hoshie, I won't be allowing Tobio unless someone makes him into a ghost or something.)
