Is that sequnce correct in your country? In the USA, the lights go from red straight to green.

Yes, it's the european norm for traffic lights overhere. The yellow light before green means 'get ready for going'; yellow light before red ACTUALLY means 'be careful, prepare for stopping', and not, as some people in our location use to think for the meaning of it being 'rush through with lightning speed before it turns red'. :D

 Silly me! I should check the series more often for traffic details as suchlike.

As an excuse I might come up with the argument that the Vikings' traffic light was already broken.
I just wanted one which is still working. :P

It wasn't broken! :P Although it was cut from the French version, so if you mostly watch this one, you have a good excuse for not remembering it! :D

Oh, people do the latter in our country too! My father once told me we should have a yellow light before the green light, and I told him that people would probably also rush on the yellow light instead! I didn't know there was such a light in other countries, so I don't know if my assumption is right or not!

In that case I could've easely used this one then. Oh well, nevermind... :P
Actually I was watching the full version of that ep more often than the french one, so my excuse has become futile.

:) You're definitely right. I guess this is just a global problem. Traffic lights are evoking different kinds of antipathy around the world. I'm no different concerning that matter. :D
They're one of the most important signals without whose the traffics would collapse instantly and would cause accidents en masse, but still we're hating them with a passion. Poor fellows!

Gee, talk about going OT...

Argh, I was trying to find you an excuse, and it didn't work. You're being too honest!

I bet you never get caught for anything! I have a lot of respect for traffic signals, but I'm a girl, maybe that's why! :P Anyway, would you believe that [i]I
got pulled over by a cop last year for passing on a red light??? :o I couldn't believe it was happening to me! The irony is that I wasn't going too fast or anything, but was very close to the lights when it went from green to yellow, so I hesitated a little bit. When I have an hesitation, I always decide it's better to stop, so I hit the brake, but then realized I was going to stop in the middle of the road unless I braked like crazy! <_< So of course then I speeded up, not like crazy, just normal, but the light probably had turned red by that time because soon after there was a cop after me!   I thought life was unfair, I'm anything but a careless crazy driver, and what's more, if I hadn't hesitated/slowed down, I would have been well within the yellow light! It was my first time being pulled over! But fortunately, the nice policewoman accepted my explanation and didn't fine me! :wahah: Phew!!! :D

I bet you never get caught for anything!  I have a lot of respect for traffic signals, but I'm a girl, maybe that's why!  :P  Anyway, would you believe that [i]I
got pulled over by a cop last year for passing on a red light???   I couldn't believe it was happening to me! So of course then I speeded up, not like crazy, just normal, but the light probably had turned red by that time because soon after there was a cop after me!  I thought life was unfair, I'm anything but a careless crazy driver, and what's more, if I hadn't hesitated/slowed down, I would have been well within the yellow light!     It was my first time being pulled over!    But fortunately, the nice policewoman accepted my explanation and didn't fine me!   :wahah:  Phew!!!

;) I think you would lose the bet. What you just had described happens to me at least every 3rd day, I just don't use to have a police car behind me everytime I cross the yellow light too closely :P . Lucky you to encounter a policewoman! :D
However, I do not necessarily think that women used to have more respect for traffic lights than men. It's all a matter of the respective situations one's caught within, and also of one's ability of recognizing danger signs (sometimes I happen to lack this ability too, I can tell ya  ).
But I think I've read somewhere that female persons are having more trouble to estimate distances to cars in front or in the back and on streets in general because of their brains' left or right hemisperes which use to handle visual informations quite different than the ones of male persons  . Maybe this is just speculation.
Of course one's acuity also plays a relevant part.

Yeah, Photoshop The Picture Game! We're going over to you right away! :)

What do you mean by 'was'? :P

/edit: Sorry, I had to steal you a few emotions, otherwise I couldn't post this reply. ;)

Well, that's what I meant. It's something that doesn't happen that often to me, yet when it does, the police is not far! Something similar had happened to me before: there was a police car nearby, but nothing happened that time. :)

I've read that too, not necessarily when it came to car but in general. I can't say spatial orientation is among my qualities, unfortunately!

Ok, since Sugarwolf hadn't posted any new job I'm going to take over.

But before placing a new pic to alternate, a short interlude:

Here is the new task:

Can you give me a higher quality version of this screenshot, Astro forever? :)
It's taken from the ep 'The Anti Proton Gun' appearing at the end, shortly before the scene with Atlas on the top of his crystal castle.
