A very similar thing appears over people's head in a chicken-oriented restaurant commercial: in fact they represents cock combs! ;)

I mean I knew you didn't mean to draw cock combs, but it's all I could think of and I hadn't seen surprise drawn this way before. But your drawing is fine, it's my interpretation who was questionable! ;)

I live in Québec, Canada. :)

Obviously I am ineligible, but I couldn't resist! :P And even though I'm not a Star Wars fan, I made an effort! ;) But will it be enough for our obsessed fan fafner?

Edit: for those unfamiliar with Tintin, professor Cuthbert Calculus, who is speaking with Tenma, is a great scientist who has hearing problems. He is also a lot into radiesthesy, often carrying a pendulum (that can barely be seen in the above image) which tells him in which direction is whatever he is looking for (which is always to the west! :P )!

Whenever policemen Thomson and Thompson visit a foreign country, they are very careful about dressing appropriatly, which means putting on whatever is the national costume so nobody will pay attention to them. But they end up with either the wrong country's costume or a totally traditional - and outdated - outfit! :D Here you can see them causing a stir in China. (Translation: "Don't look back, I have a feeling that somebody is following us!")

Also, very often, when one of them says something, the other one will want to add something to it, starting with "To be precise" ("Je dirais même plus" ;) ), but ending up repeating exacly the same thing!

Edit #2: The more I look at my pic, the more I wonder if it's Tintin who landed in Astro's universe or if it's the other way around... I'm not sure anymore!

LOL I didn't know somebody had already seen it! I keep changing my pic... I thought Tenma's line didn't fit Tenma... So I fired him and replaced him with Elefun! :wahah: Fortunately, the shadow was on the right side to fit in the pic! :)

Yes... poor Jump! :P

This one is excellent! :D
But according to this pic, Tintin did not land in Astro's universe, he invaded it :P
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

Yes, that's what I meant. He invaded it so much that it doesn't look like it was an Astro image anymore! :D

I am happy you are all enjoying it. It was a lot of fun to do too! :) I had not planned on adding so many characters, but I couldn't stop! Too bad there is no room left for Haddock/Walrus.

Not exactly repeating... messing up the sentence would be more precise :P
Just one quote...
In French:
- Nous avons ete insultes, nous exigeons des excuses!
- Je dirais meme plus, nous avons ete excuses, nous exigeons des insultes!
In English:
- We have been insulted, we demand excuses!
- To be precise, we have been excused, we demand insults!

My contribution:
Image
Alvin: "Did you just see that crazy frog moving around the corner?"
Astro: "Yeah, let's wait here a while till he returns..."

 Thanks for the memories!

Yes, I agree that most of the time they mess up. But sometimes they repeat too, like:

"Il s'agit d'une affaire bizarre.
- Je dirais même plus: une affaire... heu.... bizarre!"

In English:
"This is a strange affair.
- To be precise, an affair... hmm... strange!"

I wouldn't mind changing the text in my image if somebody has a better idea!

I like your contribution too, Strange Wings. Don't you have a "drop shadow" option? I thought about using it for my pic but since there was no shadow below Alvin and Astro, I chose to not add any.

And I have to say it, just in case you wouldn't notice: I just added Daddy Walrus and Haddock in my image! :wahah: I had to, I really felt they were missing!

Now I think I'll stop working on it, I'm pretty satisfied. I love this mix of my childhood heroes! Only it was a little hard to find out which size they should be since the drawing styles are so different!
