The Death Balloons Game!
Posted: Tue Jun 02, 2009 11:43 pm
Anyone else remember the flash haves that used to be on astroboy.jp, before it shut down? Well, through the magic of Internet Archive, I have recovered the Death Balloons game, and also some screenshots!
Play it here (EDIT: see below post)
SUTAATO/START
As far as I can tell, the instruction & story pages being no help, the controls are as follows:
The up-down buttons move Astro along the divider line. "SHOT" fires a water balloon to where the orange target lays. "CARRY" puts the song Voices Carry by 'Til Tuesday in your head, as well as makes the target move horizontally through the balloon area...this doesn't really guarantee you'll hit a balloon. This game is FRUSTRATING, I warn you...if you happen to get the ending screen before I do, post it so that I may reward you.
If a balloon floats over the divider, this is what happens...
URAN AND COBALT! With rope!
It ends with Ochanomizu mad at Astro, while Uran and Cobalt look on as the incredibly uncomfortable position they've tied Skunk into. That hiragana is "OSHIMAI", otherwise "THE END".
The top button on that screen takes you to the menu screen, and the bottom button restars the game.
Hope you guys like this! If anyone's interested, I'll try to get the Astro Boy edition of Snap online, too!
