Errr... let's just say that some people like watching violence, like one of my friends (don't ask me why :whistling

- but a movie that is sad but sweet like the ASTROBOY movie makes no money and yet i loved the movie so much. My QUESTION IS am i the only one here who loves ASTROBOY so much that she/me can't stand the idea of ASTROBOY being defeated and destroyed
In many ways the movie could've been better, as I stated in one of the other threads, however just because it got mixed reviews doesn't mean its all bad. To me, a story should contain the main character being defeated, but then grows "stronger" and next time claims victory. Heroic endings can also be awesome.

I enjoy some action movies, and without the violence they wouldn't be the action-packed adventures they are, but some movies are too overly extremely violent. I don't think it's good for a person's mind personally to just soak up images of horrific and gruesome maiming and killing.
Violence is a part of the real world unfortunately and it's morally wrong to parade it especially in a movie where the wicked people get away with their atrocious deeds. I try to be very discerning with what I choose to watch myself and what I would allow children under my care to watch. Things like Astroboy is good family fun though of course. He is an amazing hero worthy of the same praise as Superman in fiction.
