Absolutely! :D It's rich in details! I remember my surprise when I found Bora in another episode than the one he is featured in, and then DrFrag noticed that the very first Bora was in there, too.

How much detail does it have on each episode? I have questions about the names of certain characters, whose names I could not catch. I look for suffixes, but when they are absent, I am stuck.[/QUOTE]
The book has a lot of detail re: characters from the original series. It includes special sidebars for each episode re: what they call guest chara.

Now to get back to "The Time Machine" or as it is known in Japanese by the subtitles appearing on the DVD for this episode, "Black Jack's Grand Operation". I just watched it again both in English and in Japanese with English subtitles and noticed a few more guest cameos. Along with Dr. Black Jack, Rock, et al. are the duck character from "The Amazing 3" and the main villain from "Amabassador Magma". Also a cameo by "Dr. Tezuka" himself.

A question though about the English language dub. Is that Jay Rath as the voice of Black Jack? Can some one tell me? Also who wrote the English dialogue and why "Dr. Roget"? Beacuse of his thesaurus? Does anyone know? Any way it is a great episode with a great ending!

I  :astro:  I  :astro:

Yes, but without the girl wolf in the frame, it is not so obvious.

I never saw the girl wolf in the episode. I watched it last night. Is the character in that scene?

In #17, you quote another member who is taking about #27, THE BIG ADVENTURE OF LITTLE ROBOT SAM, I refer to that episode. In the shot where a blond woman in a lavender dress is walking from right to left, there is a large person in a red turtle neck. In front, is an orange-haired girl: Iwaneyama Ruriko, is in her human form. On the Tezuka characters page for 'R', she is one whose image alternates between wolf & human. :D

Oh, she is in her human form! That's why I missed her! Thanks! :D

I was also posting about the Robot Stuntman.

@Astro Forever - No, I had never seen this episode - and I just watched Robot Stuntman (saw Vadar, Jaws and the "walker" from Star Wars) and also Vikings (from the 1980's) -- the more I see of the 80's series, the more they grow on me. Partly because I see where Tezuka developed Astro's personality from the original anime, and also Uran - he got more loose and playful. I'm enjoying them more and more. Thanks for the recommendations!
