Live-action Tetsuan Atom on DVD!!!!!

I actually watched a live stream of that movie version with a bunch of people yesterday. We had a blast.

I still have yet to watch any of the other stories on the set, I have been quite busy! By the way, you mentioned episodes missing possibly for monetary reasons. The Anime News Network article for this set actually mentioned that some had been lost due to time. At least it ain't as bad as the puppet anime Galaxy Boy Troop, which only has one remaining complete episode, and parts of two others. Or even worse, the paper theater Astro Boy show from 1957, which simply doesn't exist anymore (even Google has no photos).
I believe Tawashi was in ZZZ. Either as that one cop we saw the most often, or the other one with the big mustache. Unless that was Ban. But it seemed to me like Ochanomizu's assistant played by Tezuka was being called "Ban-kun," unless I just misheard. He did replace the role taken by Ban in the manga though.
So what manga chapters do the 3rd and 4th stories constitute?
I'm on Twitter.
Tawashi was in this one, & will appear in others, but portrayed by someone else. I just finished the set today; mainly because 3-eyed 1 shipped yesterday, & I expect it by Saturday.
I like to run the whole set within 2 weeks of receipt, just in case 1 disc should be defective.
So, anyway, I paid little attention to it for the most part, but noted that in the ADVENTURE ON MARS, Kabetto meets Atom in the base cafeteria, & rather than brother Hars being marooned, her parents are. A bit of variation is good, but overall, it will be unlikely that I will ever understand the very lengthened stories.
