Weirdest Astro Boy 1960's moments

Postby Stuntpilot22 » 13 years ago

Anyone else notice how weird AB 1960's got?
For example, pompous turning into some werewolf thing at the 6:15 mark on Episode 13. Does anyone else know any weirder moments?

Would you be so kind as to provide the title of the episode to which you are referring, as I am not sure, if you mean episode 13 from the English dub or from the original Japanese version?

I think that BLACK LOOKS (Ditto) 1st had that expression of anger from Higeoyaji, but it was also used in a later episode. Other weird expressions include Ochanomizu's head morphing into a teakettle, & other characters morphing into :hyo: . But this is just a way of expressing emotions, so do not take it literally. :astro:

In that case, I do recall an episode, where Chief McLaw's head morphed into that of a pig, complete with prominent snout. Yes, there are a lot of sight gags like that throughout the 1960s series as Tezuka was very influenced by American cartoons of the 1930s; which featured a lot of sight gags

I  :astro: :) .

That is why I like the 60's episodes the best!
