What if Atom fought a enemy who could counter all of his attacks?

The closest example to this that I can think of that actually happened was Bem just completely destroying Atom with his electro-magnet. Bem being alien tech and all it only makes sense that Atom couldn't really lay a hand on Bem at all.

But it was strange for Atom being slaughtered by such adversary.

Anyway, I thought that in BEM case, Atom could try use BEM's power against himself.

Like throwing a pointed object at BEM's belly when he was using the electro-magnet to such enemies nearby.

The speed of the object would be increassed that he could get impaled.
