Astro Boy 1964 film

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and pretty new to Astro Boy, too.

I was wondering, where can I view the Astro Boy film from 1964? It's usually called in English "Astro Boy: Hero of Space" or "Astro Boy: The Brave of Space".

Also, I have read that it's based on three episodes of the 1960s TV series. Does anybody know which episodes?

I do not know if it is available for online viewing, but it was released on DVD a while ago. It consists of 46, Robot Spaceship (Phantom Space Ship); 56, Earth Defense Army (32, The Moon Monsters); & 71, Last Day of Earth (62, Attack From Space).

The preview on the official web site has an introduction made especially for the film, it reuses very few frames from any of the TV openings as far as I can tell. The opening theme music is the best rendition I've heard of the 'Astro Boy March'.
I would suspect that it is this rendition of it that the Cincinnati pops used in their 'young at heart' album under Eric Kunzel.

Also BTW by entering 鉄腕アトム into the youtube search site you will come up with some interesting stuff including a VERY CLEAN digital recording of the Japanese version of the Astro Boy march (with the Japanese children singing the theme.) It's beautiful!

I guess I might be better off finding the dubbed version of the episodes, though, since I don't know Japanese! Though there still is some unique animation in the film, so I guess I'll need to do both!

I still suggest picking it up it also has the ULTRA rare New Tresure Island movie i know it's Japanese and all and it's like 80 USD or something for 3 movies
