Now, the young lady has the melon containing whatever it is the villains seek.






"Fool! you brought the wrong melon!"

It is very blurred, but this guy was just hit in the face by a toy mouse propelled by a coiled spring.










No harm done; though the next image makes it seem so. It took a few more attacks to lay Atom out.














That which powers the electromagnet.

This segment lacked an opening title sequence.





I think the crooks just dumped the young lady after receiving the ransom.












Though they released her, they did drug her, & she is very ill.






Atom arrives with the antidote--


But the crooks grab it & run.

This time, the crooks are no where in sight; the antidote will be used for the lass.








In an earlier post, I said that the gang's schemes seem to be whatever might be available. They were not always particularly effective, or even very evil. Now they gather fleas to make the good guys itch.




Shonen magazine, I assume.































The final segment must wait, because my fingers are numb.

Why did Atom wait until now, to finish Franken?




Sparta thinks those two henchmen are just excess baggage, & hoping to speed away without them, kills both. :d evil:




This one's last words express his desire that Atom catch Sparta.




"One more step, & I'll blow us all to Kingdom Come!"

I don't think I noticed it in these shots, but given Tezuka's love of drawing himself into the manga and the anime, I wonder if he ever pulled an Alfred Hitchcock and appeared in a brief shot anywhere in these live action shows?

There were a few episodes/segments that were lost, so there is no way to tell by viewing the dvds. Err, that is, of the 60 or so segments on the set, I have not seen him.
