I have noticed many powers and characters that I do not remember from the 60's. Should I assume that the changes were made for the 80's version or just never aired before?

From what Ive seen each incarnation of the TV series sports a different character set and different abilities for Astro with a few exceptions (like Doctor's Tenma and Oshae, Uran and Astro's rocket feet).

I watched last nights show. It seemed a little simple but I guess the fan base is different than when I was younger. I didn't real enjoy the plot as much as I thought I would. Again that has to do with the current flow of interests. I did however really enjoy the anima. far better than before. I'll just have to get use to the rest of it.

Well I watch the show on the network and was surprised on how different he is now. I guess they would have to mkake him politically correct now. But he is still as cute as he was befor. That I'm thankful for. All in all....I like it.

There's a lot heavier emphasis on the ongoing storyline. I expect once things really get going and especially towards the end it will shine in that regard.
