Whoever said that there would be only 50 episodes was correct. I could discern the bulk of the plot just by watching, except for a few episodes that had much of the plot in the dialogue. Eps 45-50 are one big story, that leads to the series' conclusion.

The last scene of the closing credits that for 49 eps had the words "see you" has changed to "the end"

While the 60s had the lack of growth and the 80s had Atom's mistakes as Tenma Hakasen's reasons for rejection, this series uses something else. Luky for you, I refrain from spoilers.

My mistake. I do not know how I erred here. I was rather unhappy when I saw "good-bye", and should have remembered it because of that.
