I think they show it on cartoon network twice a day since it's part of the whole toonami thing...and ever since the 'late run' began in late 2001, they seem to repeat what they consider 'the most popular' more than once.

As for ABC, I'm happy it's once a week...but I wish I would start on time (it's always 5 mins late here)...so I can maximise my Astroboy viewing =P (since both channels show it around the same time).

The episode you missed is called "the greatest robot in the world" part 2. I know because i have this episode on volume 10 of my collection, still in its original seal since 1992 :D .

Although Im not sure about the name of the robot astro faces. The back of the video suggests "Pruto" as do many other astro fans although myself and a few others distinctly heard "Bruton". The video may be inaccurate as it also mentions Epsilon as the proton powered robot who babysits children (what the hell kind of robot is that! ;) when his name was clearly something else of greek origin that i cant think of off the top of my head.

If anyone would like to share their ideas on the name ambiguities, feel free to reply

Epsilon's other name was Photar. I believe they misprinted the video covers with the Canadian dub names (or possibly the direct Japanese translations).

So Epsilon is in the '80 series....

All I know from her is that she can control the weather (according to the 2003 serie)

In the 80's 'Greatest Robot In The World', Photar was a photon-powered robot. The sunlight gaves him limitless energy.
Unfortunately Bruton challenged him in a stormy night  .

[SORRY I WAS NOT LOGGED IN]

I finally saw the episode which was always "still to be continued" ;)

But I'm disappointed. <_< I thought I would see a great battle between Astro and Pluto but Astro didn't really fight him...

He felt, lacking of energy or something like that (?????) (I didn't really understand why...). And against the other robot, Pluto saved Astro. Then, both Pluto and the other robot (his copy) have been destroyed, and it's not because of Astro. He didn't have anything to do... <_<

Astro didn't want to fight Pluto from an episode to another. And when he finally decided to fight him, it ends this way... Is the new Astro a looser?

Astro of the '80 series would have fought Pluto and beaten him...

In all the episodes we saw from the new serie, Astro didn't do so much things... The new serie didn't impress me until now... I hope the next will be better
