Yes, Anapan does far better than those TV stations :D
Those letters look like some standard letters for me. Except France 2, none take care to name the program, and though France 2 seem to have just added the name at the beginning.
Maybe we should all flood them with letters, at least all of us living in Europe.
Louis'74, I suppose you're with me ;)
hum... Anyone else?
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

Nice initiative of you Louis'74!!! ;)

Tv stations are stupids. What's important is just making money and getting people to watch their station. But they don't know how to evaluate the value of a serie (even an old one) and what could be his popularity...

I don't know for in Europe, but Astro could be incredibly popular here. Nobody forgot this series. It is youth memories for everybody who have from 23 to 35. Hey, I watched it when I was 7 years and I still remembering some episode which I never saw since that time!!!

When I bought video tapes of Astro, the cashier said: "Wow!!!! Isn't it Astro the robot?!". She was astonished to see these tapes... I came back 'cause one tape was broken, and it was an another casher... but the same reaction : She said to the other cashier: "Wow! Check it that. It's Astro!!".
I was astonished to see those reactions about Astro from people of my age (26) who don't forgot Astro!!
It's strange that tv stations don't realize that bringing back old series can get them a huge audience...

The last year, there was a huge petition made by the internet to get back "Captain Harlock" on tv here in Quebec. It was all people who watched it when they were young and who wanted to see it again. Finally, a TV station decided to show "Captain Harlock"!!! ....But you know what finally happened? They only showed 10 episodes and the months later, we were submerged by publicity to make us buy the whole serie of "Captain Harlock" for 150 cnd $
Insane!!!!....

For Astro, I don't think it could work but it worth a try.... Too bad because I'm sure that children would love pretty much Astro... It's really better than marketing series ($$$ ;) like "Beyblade", "Pokemon" and "Yo gi oh" which all are boring and stupids.

And no problem that Astro is an old serie with no recent drawing made by computer... Here, children are all crazy about the old Scoobydoo cartoon (the same we watched when we were young) which have really poor drawing  !!!

Those were some interesting replies you got Louis! Ah, I wish TV5 would've said something positive...then I could like watch it in the language labs at University -_-' It'd make the perfect learning tool!! :D (I study French, heh).

Snorkyller I can agree with you on most of the 'latest' anime shows aren't very interesting compared to the new series of Astroboy. However I *sorta* like Yu Gi Oh (the original japanese version only) and feel that the english version is pure garbage =P but enough about that...

TV stations hardly ever listen to petitions. Fox Kids was a satellite channel here that seemed to respond to the requests of kids (they actually aired the entire series of sailor moon - a first for Oz and put on other shows)...but early this year the channel was axed and replaced with...a Classic Movies channel ^^'

What I don't like from Yu-gi-oh is the same thing I don't like from Pokemon, Digimon, Beyblade, etc... What's important in these anime is to sold things.

For Beyblade and Yo-gi-oh, it's really obsvious...
Yo-gi-oh = make children buy Yo-Gi-Oh cards...

That's so true. I remember the first time I saw CardCaptors. I was really shocked at how transparent the whole merchandising angle was.

Yeah, that's true! I don't take any notice of it though because I was never given the opportunity to buy/get everything I ever wanted...eg: when pokemon came out, I didn't go after the merchandise at all (even though everyone in my entire grade did)...
