My little sister is a major Yugioh fan and brought up that Yugi has Astroboy's eyes. Tell me what you think.

I think she might be on to something here.

Definitively not.
Lookt at the iris: Astro's are huge, and the other one's are small.

My opinion ;)
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

Maybe I used a bad example.

Judging from these two pics, I would agree with Fafner. However, because the eyes are the most important elements for expressing emotion and character, their appearance can dramatically change from one scene to another. I would need to see Yugi's eyes in several other expressions.

In this pic, Atom's eyes express bewilderment, he has just now become conscious, and having lost his memories, the world of sensations is new to him. Yugi's expression is of thought, perhaps recollection. Find similar expressions. Even though Atom's irises are so large as to occupy >90% of his eyes' area, while Yugi's are quite small, there are similarities.

I have collected some pics from Astro where we can see his eyes.
However I have nothing about Yugioh, I barely know this serie.

Edited.
This pic seems to be the closest one to Yugioh's expression I found:

I think they are pretty different. The way the pupil and iris is represented is very different.

Now that I think about it, in both the pics of Atom, the bottom of his eyes is flat, and the sides become a bit wider on the sides. Yugi's eyes are like rectangles with hemispheres on top, except that the bottom edge is slightly curved.

Looks like DrFrag put it in the wrong discussion ;)
Anyway this image shows that in the 80s, the bottom of the eyes are more flat than in the 2000s, but the iris still takes most of the place in the eyes. Hopefully DrFragenstein did not mess with Astro's eyes in this image (I checked this ;) ).
Speaking about iris, did some of you noticed that some people have whereas other don't? It looks like all cute characters have iris, and other don't. Especially female characters have, of course, Astro being the "cutest robot in the world", he has iris too. The only female character not having iris is the "battle axe" ;)

That's the right character for those who hadn't guessed :P
