There are lots of cool classical music out there like:
"Flight of the Bumblebee"
" The Entertainer"
"Canon in D"
"Ballade Pour Adeline"
"exodus"
"Rhapsody in Paganini's Theme"
"The Blue Danude"<---- the undying one!
"Moonlight Sonata"
and many more!

I likre the film that uses both the Blue Danube & Thus Spake Zarathustra. Hal 9000 will forever be the ultimate computer villian. "Rhapsody in Paganini's Theme" is really cool, but I have never heard the Paganini's Theme itself.

I have 5 discs with the 1812, & even one with its parody, the 1712 Overture. I once heard a tune called Eine Kleine Nichtmusik, But had not even thought about it since before having internet. Now, I just searched google & found the CD that has it. Gotta look for What if Mozart wrote Born to be Wild next! :D

When I was about 8 years I used to run a music-tape while falling asleep at the evenings.

I did that too. Sometimes, when the tape reached the end I put the other side while barely awakening :D
Now I use MP3s stored on DVDs, that's about 20 DAYS of continuous music :o But of course I stop the music when I wake up the morning ;)

Does it have to be "Kiss" fans? I'm not familliar with this band and actually I am not a fan of modern music only classical(which is very ironic because i'm a teen) I drew Atom once playing an acoustic guitar but it sucks big time!

I'm also astounded to read that. It's good to know that there's still young people around who listen to 'real' music.
The teens in my country only tend to listen to Bri Spears, Justin Timberfake
and such #&%@$£§!

I too grew up with classical music but nevertheless the fact that I'm listening to some harder stuff now, I still love to hear the works of Haendel, Haydn, Telemann and such composers.
When I was about 8 years I used to run a music-tape while falling asleep at the evenings.
It was classical music from composers such as mentioned above, but adopted for trombone and church organ - very beautiful. I still happen to listen to that music, not only for feelings connecting to my childhood but also because of the trombone's warm sound
(The trombone player's name was Branimir Slokar I think).
Together with the church organ as accompaniment this music always fascinated me.
The works of Haydn, Telemann, Haendel, de Boismortier and B. Marcello sound very special with those unusual instruments, I mean these works are basically written for Oboe/Orchestra, and now you have instead Trombone/Organ B) .

Well I'm rambling, but I think you'll get what I mean.
Good music never dies! [/b][/quote]
I love classical music because i know how to play the piano but i'm not an expert only intermediate. I'm a big fan of Rag songs, if u know what i mean.

If you like energeic rock & roll, I think KISS' early works would please you. I do not know much about the group's later music, but I found that of all the Rock albums I had, most contained several songs that I really did not like. But not KISS's albums. Granted, I started with Alive then added Alive II, so I heard the best of the live versions of the songs. After that, I could not bear to hear the studio versions (although Alive II did have a few studio-recorded tracks on it). Detroit Rock City is one exception, its studio version has sound effects that definitely add to its power. Too bad they left out those effects on the live version.

Anyway, I found the tempo quite pleasing.

And I would add that even if he is racist, there is no incidence on his music ( unless he advocates racist ideas of course ;) ). Anyway I don't know him :P
Karl Orff did very good music ( I love Carmina Burana ;) ), but when I read his biography, I preferred to close the book and just listen to his music. He was a Nazi

Hard to say anything about KISS from my direction, I don't know this band that well. The only song I heard from 'em was 'I Was Made For Loving You', that's all.
If you want to listen to a funny band, then choose Spinal Tap!
Their film 'This Is Spinal Tap' features a very pythonesque type of humour.
I still enjoy to watch this documentary here and then.

Now for some other thing:
If you're looking for some records in 'rock/metal meets classic' style, then have a listen to those outputs:

Dream Theatre are a phenominal band. Their work is brilliant. Imanges and Words is my personal vavorite album of theirs. I do not get a chance to hear a lot of their stuff anymore tho.

I also strongly recommend that people take the chance to listen to anything by THE ALAN PARSONS PROJECT. Their work was also classical / Rock hybrids of sorts, but most of their music was concept or themed. Their first Album TALES OF MYSTERY AND IMAGINATION BY EDGAR ALLEN POE spends more time in my CD Player than any of the other albums in my collection. They Later did an Album titled "I, ROBOT". Guess what the concept was inspired by there! heh..

THe greatest musician who ever lived was Beethoven.
The Greatest Musician alive is Mike Oldfield.

If you have not heard the symphonies by these two men then you have not heard the greatest music ever written.
three and a half years.. for what?
