Hey, I think $200 is very reasonable. If you take into account that to buy them all individually is about the same. There $20 each and there are 10 dvds so it ends up being $200. Plus you get the tin box the extras dvd and all that cool stuff that comes with the deluxe set.

Wow! people here are rich. I know 200$ is justifiable but an average person really couldn't afford that. :D Anyway I'll do my best to get my hands on them even if I have to wait for 5-9 years.

There is a difference between being rich and considering a price reasonable ;)
After all, if we were speaking of a house at the corner of your street that were for sale for 10 000 dollars you would probably not say the same thing ;) It would be a very reasonable price, but you would need to be even richer than for the 200$ DVDs :D

Maybe they did get new masters, cause they do have the original jap ep 1 on the extras disk.

Like I said, I would be more than willing to pay $200 IF the quality of the video/audio was worth that much. However Madman have not aquired new masters from Japan and no Japanese language track either, so I expect the overall quality to fall below DVD level. I collect DVD's and have over 800 in my collection, on top of that I love Astroboy, but cannot justify paying this much money for it. $149.95 Max...

I agree totally dude, and it's good to see someone on this forum with something resembling intelligence finally :)

Get that Japanese episode with Atlas on it (before Atlas lives again)
Possibly some other unfinished work that never got into the episodes as well?

I would like to have the Tezuka intro at the beginning of 'Astro's First love'. It's so cool to watch Astro taking off his boots and showing his/Nikkie's legs with an embarassed look.
This is so cute.
