I just learnt today on the web that Astroboy had been chosen to be the mascot of the 7th Techno-Parade, which gathered 600.000 persons together, one month ago, in Paris.

Here's a picture of our little robot with the former french minister of culture:

(Astroboy seems to have grown a bit, doesn't he? )

He's a fake Astro :P

:wahah: This is awesome!!
You don't happen to know by any chance where one can buy that dress?

I'm eager to look at the cop's baffled face if he spots me dressed up like that at a car control.

No!! The price for that would be too high. I simply depend on my driving licence.

I bet the cop would have a pure joy expression. Imagine there should have at least a dozen laws broken by the wearing of that suit while driving :P

Don't you think you are off-topic? You have "caption the picture game" for that <_<

Was that post really necessary?

I don't think so.

Can you just give one example of a french crime against the Iraq people?

Don't talk about things you don't know at all.

Boy, where to begin?

1) The nuclear weapons fuel capable reactor at Osirisk, given to Saddam by Jaques Cherac in 1979?

2) The UN Food for Oil program.

3) French undercutting of UN authority in helping Saddam violate 16 UN resolutions.

4) French government attempts to aid Saddam in violating UN resolution 1441.

I wonder why the French stopped flying patrols over the UN no-fly zones in 1995, if not for the return back scratching of Saddam's regime.

that's my last post on this subject. Having Astro in France is a disgrace to the qualities of goodness he represents....at least you don't see him screwing a population over for a back rub...unlike France.

Ok dannavy85, I think you need a good slap
For what I know the facts you present are true, but are unrelated to war crime, or are related but only according to certain interpretations. I won't even try to argument in this way as it is far to complex, the same as US Army war crime in Abu Ghraib is subject to caution.
You should also know that the person who you are forging a caption for is Jack Lang, a member of PS which is a left wing party. Most of "war crimes" you give have been done by Jacques Chirac and his party the UMP (former RPR), wich is a right wing party. So how would you link those "war crimes" to Jack Lang? I don't know what Astro would do to Jack Lang, but I certainly know what he would do to someone accusing someone else of war crimes on the sole basis of his/her nationality. I think there is a name for that: racism. The very notion condemned by Tezuka in Astroboy. Shame on you Astro betrayer
And now here is the thing that really offended me in your posts dannavy85: bringing controversial topics on a forum absolutely not dedicated in politics, not even bothering to post it in the general section.
Now I have finished, nothing more has to be said. However if you really want to continue the dicussion, I give you the authorization to contact me by private ways such as a PM or a mail by my MSN account, just make sure you identify yourself as "dannavy85 from astroboy-online". Be sure also not to use your real e-mail if you don't want me to know it, as it will be unveiled to me even if you use the "e-mail" button.
