When I read the synopsis for the 35th episode of the 60s series, I immediately thought of my all time favorite TZ story. Here is the Tezuka website's description:

35th Episode: The Human Farm August 27, 1963
Astro Boy sets out on a rocket to rescue people who have been kidnapped for use as livestock on a planet that looks like the Earth.
