Can you help me find ASTROBOY?

Hi everyone! Ok, I know most of you are probably young adults or teenagers talking about a "new" cartoon called ASTROBOY. But I watched Astroboy in the 60's when I was a little kid. The most I remember about him is his squeaky shoes. Does he still have them in the NEW version? LOL
What I would like to know from you is~ How are you watching him if he isn't on TV or cable? Are there videos or DVD's or something out now that I just have not even looked for or come across?
I found this site when I typed in his name in the search bar just looking at CARTOONS of all things from my childhood! LOL
He used to be on right before another one called GIGANTOR. Ever heard of it?

To answer your question, yes, he still has them in the new version(According to the Japanese version) .Although, in the 2003 english version, you probably won't hear it as much.

There are fans here of all ages. Jeffbert, our most prolific poster, grew up with the 60s series.

I'm a big fan of the 80s series.

There have been DVDs released of the 80s and 2003 series, and the 60s series is due out on DVD sometime over the next year or two. Although many episodes seem to be mising so we don't know what will be released.
VHS episodes have been available since the 90s.

Ok, I have 18 tapes of 60s English translations, 9 of the 80s, the first 1/2 of the 80s on DVD, and the 2003 on DVD. + all 23 volumes of manga.

By sheer coincidence, I live 15 minutes from Atoman, who owns the enire 60s 193 eps on dvd. Lucky me, he started a thread asking if any other members lived in Maryland. I spend my Saturdays at his house watching Atom and sometimes Princess Knight in raw Japanese. Fortunately, many episodes are based upon manga stories, of which I have all but 2 in 23 volumes Darkhorse manga. So, even though I reconize very few Japanese words, because I have read the manga, I can follow the stories with fairly good understanding. But that is not required to appreciate the physical comedy that this series uses.
