Yes, I love the bowtie suits he wore, especially the red one. You should see the one he wore in the Marine Express movie from 1979. He had a blue bowtie suit with blue boots.

Yep..it was me....I am still trying to finish it...ran into a few hiccups and it stalled but after reading this tread, I am tempted to do a 60's, 80's and 00's version( IF I can get going again...LOL) But I DO want to get it done, as a present to all those here that helped me with ideas ofr it!! Ah, I just realised what the deal is with his feet.
In the first couple of episodes, before he gets his boots, his feet don't have toes. They have small red shoe things that retract when he flies. After he gets boots, they're covered up until the final episode, where he takes them off to show he has Niki's legs installed (complete with toes).
I hope I'm not the last person to get this!
