I've been itching to do this for quite some time now and finally I was able to materiallize this project! Althought storyline is cheesy:

As far as carrying the sleigh, Manga #23 has a scene with Atom carrying the robot disposer. I thought that could be the basis for the pose we want.

Here is the page three of the Astro-Naruto Comic. When I first created this page I was unimpressed even after the inking. THen when the pencils and further photoshopping came in, I said to myself that this page is not that bad after all.

Now that I look at this picture, I am sure my inspiration came from the 80s' episode 1, rather than here. There were many more views of the scene.
