I wonder if the Sea Horse Co. based Speed Racer on this episode?

2. The cross-country racing is also similar

4. & the automatic jacks resemble this car's jumping ability

This car reminds me of a taxicab in an old American cartoon. The cab had a son who wanted to be a hot rod, & could not pursuade him to become a taxi.

There are just so many similarities, too many to count.
