I am also interested to see how the stories evolved. :D I think that the volumes that I happened to find not as intriguing included the stories that weren't the most appealing to me. Somehow those stories seemed to be all together in some volumes. I mean, buying a volume with 3 stories that I know and didn't think were the most interesting (to me) is not how I want to start reading the manga, unless of course somebody tells me there were interesting bits missing in their anime version. I don't know if I make sense though.

Funny, I almost changed my signature recently myself. ;)

BTW... I love your location!!!! :w00t: Love that music!

I will start with those that are featured in manga & all three anime:
  • 3 Frankenstein (vol. 21)
  • 11 Electro (vol. 15)
  • 32 Gademu (vol. 17)
  • 38 Uran (although the adventure is very different. If going by the original title 1/2 Person, this would clearly not qualify. (vol. 14)
  • 54 Greatest Robot on Earth, The (vol. 3)

However, if we consider the live-action, Jetter Mars, 80s Atlas, & Shinen Gumi, we would add a few more titles to the 4 incarnations list. :astro:

Moreover, there were numerous adventures that contributed plot elements to various stories, but I will keep these to myself until I publish my web pages, hopefully soon.

Volume 4 has Ivan The Fool, which was The Wreck of the Titan in the anime. The interesting thing is the story is the second part to another story that isn't in the anime. Unfortunately I can't remember what it's called. :( It's not in volume 4. It might be The Hot Dog Corps from volume 1.

It's worth getting volumes 6,7 and 8 together because the 17 stories in them all continue on from each other. Only three or four of them are in the anime.

I do not recall any story that predated Ivan, but there are three related stories, the first two are in both manga & 60s anime:
  1. Ivan the Fool
    Manga 30
    Ivan the Fool,
Fool Ivan, The (Original title: Secret behind the Moon)
    vol. 4
    (60s J/E):
    10th Episode: The Fool Ivan
    11, Strange Voyage
    80s (J/E)
    21st Episode: The Fool Ivan
    30. The Wreck of the Titan
    ---
  2. Hot Dog Corps Minya's daughter seeks to prevent anyone form going to the moon because Minya died & was buried there
    Manga:
    43
    Hot Dog Corps, The
    Hot Dog Corps
    vol. 1
    60s:
    32nd Episode: Hot Dog Corps
    ---
  3. ep 142 Minya's Star Retelling of Ivan the Fool with a few changes. Lamp plays either her husband or father who just happens to be on the escape pod that crashes on the planet where she was marooned.
