Apparantely a real Astro robot is already underway in Japan. He will take at least 50-100 years to complete, and he'll have the mind of a 5 year old child. Hope I'm still alive then!

I have heard things such as a robot with a human mind as soon as 2020, and others saying as soon as never So I guess that the only thing we can say is we really can't be sure

That would be really cute and might explain why Astro can have feelings even though he's a robot (unless there was already a reason why that I don't seem to know of/forgotten)
