It's okay wait your 50? i thouth you were in your 20's
I felt a bit anoyed since the only english versions i can buy are FAR more expensive then the Dutch ones.
The Dutch Astroboy manga is around 3/4 euro's each volume
while the english ones cost around 23/24 euro's ...and had a lot less pages then the Dutch one..

Ok, I admit that it was unreasonable to assume that all good Astroboy fans would have the 23 volumes of manga, esp the whippersnapper college students like you.

Oh yeah, I didn't expect you to know that had happened (although, I think I might've mentioned it somewhere before...?), I just brought it up as one of the reasons I don't have any money.

Well, I believe the reason for this is emphasise the fact that Astro is a robot, the contrast never bothered me much, on the contrary, I liked it, it gave Astro something that was his own, instead of simply being a robot imitation of a dead boy.

In the original 60's series and the 80's series, Astro and Tobio looked the same. However, in the 80's series, Astro had to go in disguise as a human while on a mission. The human disguise, which looked very different from Tobio or Astro, was then used as Tobio's appearance in the 2003 series. As for the slight color differences, I guess the materials used for Astro's syntho-skin didn't allow for Tobio's colors to br replicated exactly.
