My very first 45 RPM record

I was big-time a WWII history enthusiast, & have two multivolume book sets, 1 of which it Time-Life's The Third Reich; I greedily devoured every page therein.

I suppose my interest in WWII was because Henschel built a cute little kitty cat. I visited the one that resided in the Aberdeen Proving Grounds museum a few times, stroked its Krupp steel, & almost wished I was Michael Wittmann. I was right there in the turret as I read. I also had a book called Tiger Ace, all about Wittmann, but I swear, it was the worst case of editing I had ever seen. Misspelled words, 'two' where 'to' was expected, etc. It was easier to read Huck Finn!

BTW, before I forget, welcome Skorzeny; are you related to the famous Otto of WWII? I had a friend was was a distant relative of the
Horten bros, who built the Reich's flying wing. He was always annoyed when people spelled his name with an 'o' rather than an 'e.'



I am about a year older than you, Skorzeny, & also remember old 45s, but ours were mostly story book records, with accompanying picture books. The record player was 'portable,' but still almost as big as we were.

Ah yes,Mr.Jeffbert,
There were more than one lovely Kitty kats built by the Krupps and others,In addition to the fearsome Tiger and also King Tiger,you must also remember the very fine Panther.Another fine kitty kat built during very unfortunate times.Alas no,I'm not related to the great warrior,Otto Skorzeny.I chose that title because my regular handle,D.B.Cooper was taken .
