Someone's selling an Astroboy toy on ebay

That particular ...er model is a cheaper/junkier looking version of the offical Japanese toy that does the same sort of things. Only it looks WAY better. However i have seen a couple of Cosmic Boy toys in a store and they do not all appear to be of poor quality *shrugs* its hard to tell, tho that on for sure is at the bottom of the range ^^;

The item that was up for bid on eBay was an officially licensed Japanese Astro Boy item, the American stuff (made by Bandai, by the way) will not be out until this fall. They're planning a preview of the mrechandise at the International Toy Fair in New York City next month.

I believe that toy was sold at the Bandai Shop at Sony's Meteron entertainment complex in San Francisco, CA USA. (Meteron website.) They will intro that and some more February 15-18 in New York City at the International Toy Fair as they own the rights outside of Asia for the Astro Boy products.
