What was your first ever Astroboy-ep you saw?

I got into the Managa first. That's how I got obbsessed. Later my little brother downloaded the first episode of the 80s series off of Kazza. I was rather suprised. I didn't know there even WAS an 80s series. All I knew exisited was the 60s series. I watched it. It wasn't as good as some other anime i've seen, but it wasn't as bad as some other anime i've seen either. I was rather annoyed that it ended in a "to be continued" like that and I couldn't find the next episode. Fortunatly, I found it on that FTP: site.
I remember an episode in which Astro prevents a train from falling in a cliff, because of a hole in a bridge, by letting the train to pass on him. Or another episode in which a bad guy makes a poisoned snowstorm or something like that...
Sounds like Astro's been reading too much Superman.

Well the first one i saw was the first episode but it was on video because my mum got them now in the modern day technology we have the DVDs but i was 2 when i actually saw it and i needed my mum with me because i cried so much in that episode

Mine was a syndication of the first black and white episode on WLVI Channel 56 in 1968.

How could I have missed this thread until now? Perhaps I did see it, but because I could not recall any particular episodes, much less the 1st one I ever saw, I might have declined posting. All I remembered were the theme song & "Go, go, go!"

I think it was "Save the Classmate", but I remember better the first episodes I missed than the first I watched, because I regretted for years leaving the room when I saw the opening credits for the first time. I had just thought that since it was another robot show, it must be like the transformers or something like that, in other words, a little boys show that was not for me.

If it wasn't "Save the Classmate", then it was some other episode, but I do remember that episode leaving a strong impression on me.
