Anapan has provided un-cut subs for viewing pleasures.

There is also a side-by-side cut where the US and Japanese versions are run together in sync, so you can see exactly what was cut...

Um... well i have no doubt that Atom will be released on DVD but the uncut bilingual has the big question mark above it. The Pokemone stuff is far from uncut and certainly not bilingual. It all depends what Sony decide to do with the DVDs over in the US.... that will filter through to Australia too.

So until then you aren't the only one with wishful thinking

English Shminglish.. Just wait for it to be released and import it. It will have English Subtitles as one of the tracks. Most of them do anyway dont they? Do not see why this one would be any different.

The thing I like about some dubs that are 'better' is the cultural references. Sometimes the translators totally change a scenes dialogue and make it more approachable for the new audience they are aiming at.

I can not believe right now I cant come up with an example, but a made up example is something like this..

TRUE TRANSLATION: Please calm down. You are reacting too strongly.
ENGLISH 'HIP' TRANSLATION: Sheesh dude, take a chill pill or something.

I love it when they do stuff like that.

Here in Oz, you can tell that the dude tat do the Subtitles on SBS love their work. It is OBVIOUS that the subtitles are NOT true translations sometimes, but man if it doesnt make it easier to approach some of the stuff on there.

Well, I got into the ftp after tweeking my browser settings, But boy is it a slow connection.... I have over 4hrs to wait..

I've already explained everything pretty well about my FTP in the thread about it titled "FTP server".

About the speed, I reccomend that if you want to get a better download speed, try downloading stuff at different times, like in the early morning, or before going to sleep. The traffic to my FTP is erattic, but seems to peak from midday to late evening. Also, I've alotted some upload bandwidth to emule.

Anyway, I reccomend downloading the comparison videos if you're at all interested in what you've been missing by watching the show on American TV. It's interesting stuff, and makes you wonder what else the censors and translaters cut out of your favorite shows and cartoons.
