hmm.. is it just me or is the word 'pervert' different in definition in Japan. The more I get exposed to japaneese language the more I am fascinated by it..

The reason I ask is people sem to call each other perverts all the time.. it amazes me how often it turns up in subtitles and dubbing on video and SBS.

The funniest example I can think of is a school girl was on a swimming team and her teacher wanted to go watch them train. The student asked him if he was a pervert and just wanted to look at cute girls in swimsuits and he replied yes. Then she said "Well follow me then and you can watch, just dont look like a pervert ok."

Thats just so fundamentally wrong its hilarious. And this wasnt an 'adult' movie, it was a kids movie about the kids.

I just watched Colorful again, and still think it is the funniest thing I have ever or seen. There is a male althetic coach who has eyes for a really cute girl whom he coaches, and this guy really adds to the humor big time.
