I will soon add more Astroboy episodes in different languages (mainly English and Japanese) on the FTP server, they will be available in about 24 hours.
I have also added a note concerning the number of threads to use, the one who used 10 threads on 1 episode this afternoon will recognize himself/herself Just know that while I was remotely connected to the computer I noticed the lag: when I had finished typing a command, the first character had still not appeared

Of course I can... but that will serve no purpose
All those files are using a video format that includes compression. Compressing an already compressed file usually reduce the size in such a negligeable order that the headers of the ZIP file would negate the gain.
Compressing a file increases its entropy. The better the compression is, the more the entropy tends towards 1. So once you have compressed a file, you already have an entropy very near of 1, meaning that you can't move much farther.
And no, it is not possible to go beyond 1
Just schedule your downloads and be patient

Hey Fafner,

In the 2000s series folder, what episode is the one marked "Franken"? I didn't recognize it, so I tried to d/l it overnight, but at 2.5k/sec with 1000+minutes to go, my computer eventually gave up and locked up somewhere around 5am, and I had to reboot.

do you know what happens in that ep? Wasn't sure yet if I've seen it already or not.


And, "Fall of Acheron" (is that pronounced Akron?) is the one when the tree roots go crazy through this underground city?

It is the one with the huge robot self-assembled with other robots parts. The one who is always saying "driving"

Use a download manager, it won't prevent your computer from crashing, but it will allow to resume your download where it stopped

I don't know the episodes with the roots. "Fall of Acheron" (not sure about the pronunciation, maybe "akeron") is the second part of "The greatest robots in the world", where Pluto fight other robots in the sole purpose of proving he is the most powerful. Of course Astro is on Pluto's list

Some of the titles are strange (especially the 34) because the only way I have is babelfish to have a translation from Japanese.

I downloaded episode 1 of the 1963 series from fafner.home, but it won't play in Windows Media Player, DivX, Real Player, or Quicktime.
