Dannavyl. Jeffbert here actually CAN NOT get out of the house more often. He fights a physical disability. It is possible you did not know this, but it has been "common knowledge" on the boards here for a while. Your story was a wonderfull piece of writing that most of us I am sure enjoyed. Keep that in mind, and try to not be so touchy about Jeffberts enthusiastic arguementative nature.

Jeffbert. The way you seem to get a vice grip on the odd comment around the forums of late, and then explode them out of all reasonable proportions is starting to get a little out of hand. Cybotron used to be the only person on these boards that I specifically chose not to read due to his attitude and almost spam-like practices here. However, I have recently been avoiding your posts as well because of your growing pattern of arguementative behaviour. This is rather a pity, as for the most part you are were usually a solid and positive member of our community.

Usually I don't like to get involved in the "tiffs" here, but it seemed such a shame that a thread that started from an entertaining and enjoyable piece of Fan art seemed to be taken in this confict. Come on guys. This is a small and mostly friendly board. Its one of my favorites online. Can't we learn to be a little more tollerant and respectful?

Just let me share my experience...
I am a software developper, I make programs to run on computers for the customers of the firm where I work. It happened once that a bug slipped into a small update, causing an entire document to be wiped out when saving if a certain item was in the document When a customer sent a mail to say that his/her document had been destroyed I laughed and thought "again a stupid user who has made an error". Nevertheless I checked what he/she claimed to have done that caused the destruction of the document. Yes, you guessed it, my face turned totally white :wacko: Several hours of work were lost in the process, the customers were not pleased, and don't even talk about the boss!
Yes boss, I didn't do the whole checking because it was such a smaaaaaall modification that it couldn't decently contain a bug
Well, the slap I am going to give you will be so smaaaaall that it won't even crush you against the opposite wall :angry:
What I retained of this story is that if I hadn't checked what that stupid user barely able to use a mouse and keyboard, alreay known to report his/her own mistakes as bugs, things would have been much worse. I would have rebutted him/her, the situation would have lasted 1 or 2 more days, the total hours of wasted worked would have been tens of hours if not hundereds, and maybe I would have been fired (at least) All that for one insignificant error in one line

I would not waste my time trying to impress you, nor would I hope to convince you of your beastly behavior toward others. You started the nastiness in August by replying to my post in a way that was both cruel and cowardly. Anyone can see that by merely reading the posts on that thread. Then, when I, holding no grudge against you, commented politely on your writing, you were obviously unprepared for such critiques & responded rather curtly. It was my mistake that brought this thread to this point. I should have realized that one such as you could dish it out, but not take it, as evidenced by your posting and then forsaking that other thread.

I am sorry that I offered my comments on your writing publicly & without invitation. If this embarrassed you, I am sorry for that, too. I well know what it is like to have others thrust their help upon me without my requesting it. I cannot enter the shopping mall without some do-gooder leaping in front of me to open the door, thinking that becuase I use a cane, I cannot open the door for myself.

I challenge you to return to that other thread, & refute my latest posts. However, let us forget the animosity, & exercize politeness. I realize that my latest posts there are somewhat antagonistic, but I will leave them as they are.

And I am supposed to be a "paranoid freak" because I could see what was done to the TV show. I spent three years in electronics school learning color tv theory and practice. I even taught for a while.
I left some episodes as transmitted so anyone could see the dif.
And now my posts have to be avoided and ignored.
I continue to stream Astroboy to whomsoever wants to see it free of charge. And I'm considered a pariah by someone in here. And they can't wait to tell others. Why?
We need all of the posts from Jeff, Dannavy, Faf, and every other "Real Astroboy."
Astro is a nice little nightlight in the darkness of a world full of intolerance.
