Fafner's answer seems incorrect. What I expected to see was the fact that the contents of the plastic bags may be far from appetizing, they are in both cases, fit for human consumption.

I must file a contestation, even if it is symbolic :P
My answer is on an inconsistent fact: Astro did chew the food but it remains intact. So did he technically chew it or not? :D
Anyway now I remember more precisely what R. Daneel had said. After all, I had read "Caves of Steel" a good decade ago, it is normal that my memory is not so clear ;)

Speaking of technical... Did you capture each frame one by one or did you use a software to capture the whole animation? I wanted to include the animation, but my only solution so far is to capture each frame one by one, and I am too lazy for that :o
Not my work, but that of Strange Wings. See the Some animated Astro-GIFs thread. :P

I am almost certain that some frames are missing from this scene. ;)

Oh yes, now I remember. But I couldn't watch them in animation because of some technical problem :(

Yes, the frames where he answer yes to his father are missing...

I got the frames. Strange Wing animated them. I cut out frames so it wouldn't be too long (and I just wanted to show Astro eating, not talking) and changed some frames so it looks like a complete loop.

About the Terminator question, I'm guessing it is the snow aliens in the story "Space Snow Leopard". They could turn into "liquid" form because Lupe and the strange wizard-looking guy are actually colonies of microscopic animals.

Hmmm. I had not thought of that one, & technically you are correct. Nevertheless, I am going to be mean, and insist that you provide the answer I seek. The character in question is a humaniod robot; however, this character has the ability to become a fog; to morph on a molecular level. Thus Pook/Buck of Cruciform Island/Transformation Robot is not the one. :D

For the answers to this question, consult the Actors' World. It also helps to be familiar with the anime & manga in which they have appeared.

I am still awaiting an answer.

For those who are stumped, consider this:

Name one story other than the origin of our hero that has been featured in the manga and all three animated series. :D

Name one story other than the origin of our hero that has been featured in the manga and all three animated series.

The Light Ray Robot (Dark Horse manga #15, 60s Japanese anime #6, 80s English anime #35, 2004 English anime #4).

Atlas (Dark Horse manga #18, 60s Japanese anime #26, 80s Japanese anime #1, 2004 English anime #6).

Uran (Dark Horse manga #14, 60s Japanese anime #37, 80s English anime #13, 2004 English anime #13).

Frankenstein (Dark Horse manga #21, 60s Japanese anime #2, 80s English anime #12, 2004 English anime #9 *cough*sortof*cough*).

Alright, I'll stop showing off. :P

Forgot to answer the other questions.

Of the actors and actresses, Atom, Kenichi, Melmo, Mitchy, Pipy, Rock, & Sapphire, name one factor common to the roles each has played. The common thing of which I am thinking has nothing to do with the sex of the character, or whether the role is for a human, animal, or robot.

They've all appeared in mangas other than Astroboy. Or is that too simple?

The character in question is a humaniod robot; however, this character has the ability to become a fog; to morph on a molecular level. Thus Pook/Buck of Cruciform Island/Transformation Robot is not the one.

Toxor.

Jeffbert, how tall is Astroboy?

The first question: I was thinking all these actors and actresses had played both child and adult roles.

Toxor? which story was that? I was thinking Spica, of Astro Returns Dark Horsie volume 22.

"Jeffbert, how tall is Astroboy?" That is a tough one. I am certain such a specification exists; however, cartoon children are almost always depicted as being no more than waist high to most adults. Therefore, such a specification would either require a rather small value, say just about 3 feet high, or adults' height would need to be increased. If we say 4 feet 6 inches, which would make him about arm pit to shoulder height, & we know this is too tall, then adults' height needs to be increased from an average of 5' 9" to over 6' :D

But, then there are the various incarnations, and even in the manga, things were different. I need to check Let's Draw Manga: Astroboy, but am preoccupied at this time.
