I would also like that. I've come across it only once, but I decided to pass on it. I wish I didn't.

I don't have the answer, but trying to find something about the mangas, I've just read that thread again just a few minutes ago!

Sorry for the repetition: I've been having problems on the editing.
"Yuusha Senshi Godaiger" wrote:That story you mentioned reminds me of an old anime called "Marine Express" I've seen in Italian (don't understand the language but didn't stop from enjoying Italain dub animes), it was your usual Tezuka allstar cast, as you know Tezuka loved using his characters like actors. It had Shunsaku Ban (Mr. Percival Pompous) as its main character, Astro Boy, Professor Ochanomizu (Dr. Packadermus) Rock in a more heroic role, Princess Knight Sapphire as the empress of the ancient civilization of Mu and what I remember was Rock's love interest and I remember it had Black Jack (Tezuka left much of the animation of this film to his assistants,as he insisted on drawing every cell of Black Jack personally), Leo (adult Kimba) a magical flying lion, the enchanted protector of Mu, who helps Sapphire in her resistance to the main antagonist and the evil Three-Eyed version of Hosuke Sharaku was its main antagonist.
Spoiler Alert:
The story is in two parts, and packs an enormous quantity of plot into a fairly short running time. The first section follows the maiden voyage of a new, experimental super-fast undersea train, running across the Pacific Ocean. The action follows the passengers, who include the trains creator and financier, and a number of other characters, some of whom are supposed to be on the train, some of whom are definitely not. Half way through, after hijackings, natural disasters, betrayal, mechanical problems, onboard surgery and shark attacks, the train reaches the island of Mu, where the second part of the story begins with the remaining crew being sent back in time. Five thousand years earlier, the ancient and mysterious civilization of Mu, known in the modern day only through sparse archaeological remnants, is under threat by a three-eyed demon and a vampire, and our heroes must team up with Mu's supernatural protectors to liberate the natives.
MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Both Astro and Professor Ochanomizu (Elefan) supposly die, I don't quite remember I've only seen it once and it was a Loooooooooooooooooong time ago.

I downloaded it as a bittorrent, and it's rather high quality. I really enjoyed it, except for the end, where EVERYTHING fell apart. I mean, c'mon. Seriously. I shut it off halfway through, once the good stuff was over. I also wish Rock looked more like...... well, Rock.
I too felt that the story became less interesting at that point."Ataru Moroboshi" wrote:I see I'm not the only one who thinks that when they go to the past, the movie, which starts being quite enjoyable and suspenseful, turns into a piece of mediocre, silly magic adventure (and I happen to love magic adventures, like, for instance, Slayers).
