I have an Astro car head rest cover and everytime people walk by they tell me that it looks like somebody is in my car. lol. I also have a couple of Astro key chain and when I hung one from the rear view mirror it started to fade the back of it. So I took it out and hung it on my laptop bag. Thankfully I have a couple extra.

Maybe you can use the HOV-2 lane without harassment. I have rthought about putting a balloon over there, hoping any cops that otherwise might ticket me, would be satified by the presence of what appeared to be a head. :D

Hey guys, if any of you want to buy Astro Boy stuff, I just want to send a warning...

Image

These buttons are counterfeit, and made by a company called Poster XP. They churn out kits of these buttons using whatever art they can find. As you can see, the pictures have been badly cropped and edited...for example, the third-row second-last button has an 80's picture with the 2003 logo, and an Arial font subtitle! And everybody has very pale skin.

On eBay, there's even a set of Astro-themed sandals that are complete knock-offs, and a few figures that are laughably weird. If you're shopping, take close note to the pictures, and check if there are any official tags, obvious errors with a character's design, and the like. I once found a sticker that had Ochanimizu's eyes going in different directions, like a chameleon.

I had seen those and could tell right away that they were bootlegs. That said, I still thought they were kinda cool ^^;

Whoops, don't know why THIS is in here...)

Probably an attempt of reinventing the art of still life.

For the fan that must have everything, here's a Daddy Walrus plush! From the back, it looks like he's trying to hitch up his pants, like they're falling down or something.

:D Looks more to me like he's scratching his widdle toushie.

This is one of many freaky tin toys available. Apparently, Astro would be interested in driving a transport truck.

Interesting! The katakana writing on the truck says "KYANDEE TORAKKU (Candy Truck)". Apparently this has been designed as a candy box in Astroboy style.

Just putting this up because I'm sure Sigmund Freud would find something wild in this image.

...not to mention animal protection and forest tending!

So, the toy truck would have been full of candy at some point? :w00t:

Even though the auction just ended, I found one of those puzzles we all got in our childhoods, but never really had the patience to finish...

"Hours of fun"? Give it 5 minutes and the puzzle's done!
I remember owning a similar one but with numbers on the squares instead of a picture, and the squares alternately were colored red & white. I never found it very challenging, but it was better than nothing in times of boredom at our relative's leisure chalet in the mountains. :)

Looks like a bad counterfeit: I read "Dr. ELEPHANT" on the bottom left. Can you spot other mistakes? THIS is worth hours of fun :d evil:

Edit: And they did put "all rights reserved".
