Live-action Tetsuan Atom on DVD!!!!!

This looks incredible! Thank you, Jeffbert for sharing with us, and I hope you'll soon be able to answer some burning questions about this original TV series such as:

- does it appear to follow the same basic story line as manga and/or 60's anime?

- Is Uran part of the series?

- Do Tenma and Ochinomizu resemble their cartoon images at all (big nose on Dr. O, and "rooster hair/beard" on Tenma?)

Why the heck can't somebody translate these things and offer dubs for sale at a reasonable cost? It doesn't cost THAT much to burn a flipping DVD! In the meantime, I'm really thrilled you have these, Jeffbert.

I only watched the 1st 2 segments so far! There are 5 stories & 67 segments, give me a month or 2 weeks at the least!

So does that mean there is no front cover with live Atom like we see on e-tailers? Or is it on some box that holds the plastic case inside maybe?

My bad, as I forgot to mention that the front of the case is as shown on cdjapan, amazon, etc.

Well I think I'll buy it with peace of mind then. I just don't see how the first press "custom case" could be all that different. In fact I bet that all copies are still the first press.

• Ambassador Magma anime (includes English dub) and live-action

• Jungle Emperor symphonic poem (Illustrations-only edition, should have English subtitled narration)
• Mighty Atom live-action
• MW Chapter 0 (hoping greatly it'll be first press otherwise I'll miss all the special features)
• Unico pilot (plus extra Hello Kitty movie)
• Three-Eyed One special
• Black Jack live-action TV series

F-Man, I must confess a fault: when I posted about having received the set, I neglected to mention that neither of my PC's newer drives seemed to work with BOTH the live-action discs AND ANYDVD. The INFO POPUP stated that ANYDVD was scanning the disc, but I lost patience after about 5 minutes, & used my older drive, which worked fine. I do not know that the newer drives WILL NOT work, just that so far, it takes longer than I would wait. I must add that ARABIAN NIGHTS also took a long while before it was scanned by ANYDVD, but, as I was reading BJ 14, it was not so noticeable.

Where did you find the Ambassador Magma anime?

That is a lot of stuff, you will be busy forever. When I thought the live-Atom was gone, I considered Microid S, but as I knew very little about it, other than the Tz sites page for it, I went for the others.
